The Rush Limbaugh of the left.

shanrick: The Rush Limbaugh of the left.

RIght--if he had a few million people who tuned in daily.

His whole No on 2 thing really showed what an asshole he was. Standing up for workers rights, pssh, what a dick.

2011-11-25 09:04:49 PM
Someone who is not influential made a list?

2011-11-25 09:05:52 PM
Ed has this promo where he says, "I need two shows." With his luck, he'd get half the ratings.

2011-11-25 09:24:02 PM
Douchenozzle.

2011-11-25 09:24:45 PM
So does that mean I'm more influential than Ed?

2011-11-25 09:26:18 PM
Apparently Obama is #25. Though you'd never know that from Fark's politics tab.

#1 must be subby's mom.

2011-11-25 09:28:12 PM
They should just rename it the Rachel Maddow network and fire everyone else.

I could go for that.

I'd have to put him at Number 1 since I have no idea who he is, what show he hosts, or what he talks about. Farkers-if I'm missing something, let me know.

To be fair GQ is ranked as #1 least influential publication in circulation.

HAHAHAHA.....
Like we really needed someone to tell us this?

2011-11-25 10:49:35 PM
Yes, the Ed Schultz Show is just bad. Bad, bad, bad. It's a left-wing version of a typical right-wing show.

2011-11-25 10:49:36 PM
GQ is a men's fashion magazine. Sounds like an oxymoron doesn't it? What sort of people work at a men's fashion magazine?

I'm number 2.

Go ahead. Pile on.

Same here.

At first I thought the headline was talking about this guy:

You're not. He's pretty terrible; it's like someone noticed all of the terrible right-wing blowhards and decided the left needed a version too.

Abner Doon: it's like someone noticed all of the terrible right-wing blowhards and decided the left needed a version too.

THIS.

The Ed Show is without a doubt the most annoying knockoff of a Fox News blowhard show EVAR.

2011-11-25 11:04:18 PM
The opening credits of his very first show showed volume bars as a design motif.

I knew exactly what to expect from that alone and didn't even bother with it. If you see volume bars in the design motif of a news or talk program, run. Run far away.

Well, there is one thing I like about him, but it's conceptual, and possibly all in my head. He just looks like a person who was a reasonably good amature or semi-pro boxer like twenty years ago, and I get a sense that if the right person came on his show on the wrong night, he might beat them into a hospital bed. And there's a lot of people on the right I'd like to see that happen to, creating this kind of "gambler's chance" impression of a good mathmatically expected payoff.

I'd like to think that MSNBC's decision to move Ed to 8PM was the result of whatever miniscule clout Olbermann still has with them. Or some kind of huge favor from Lawrence O'Donnell.

If you haven't been watching left it on in the background lately, Ed's doing Nancy Grace's gimmick: the big, red "BREAKING NEWS" banner stays on screen constantly throughout the show.

The only reason this show exists is to provide the sole piece of evidence for the (R)etards' flimsy argument that MSNBC is the FOX News of the Left.

I would have thought that the least influential person alive would be some sort of housewife in Peroia, IL whose claim to fame was once thinking about a vacation to Chicago, but her husband never thought they had the money.

Sounds like one of the worst persons in the world to me.

Wasn't too familiar with Ed until I happened upon his show as he was (correctly) complaining how FoxNews is just a shill for the GOP. What really got my attention wasn't that he didn't acknowledge that MSNBC is completely in the tank for the Democrats, but flat out denied that his network was in any way even remotely pro-Democrat. Not even just a little. That was some good spin right there.

Hey, GQ gave us this photoshoot:

So I'd say they have influence... IN MY PANTS.

Bad enough on radio, can't imagine how awful the television version must be. Who on the left appreciates this guy? He's an embarrassment.

2011-11-26 01:44:31 AM
If the 4th least influential person and Mr. Shultz went out to dinner, would the 4th least influential decide where they'd eat? (Because the 4th least influential person would be a shade more influential than the 3rd least influential person.) (Then you'd have the second least influential person, and finally the first, or MOST LEAST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN THE WORLD.)

Yeah. I'm as pretty far left as you're likely to find and I think he's an intolerable blowhard in the Rush/O'Reily mold.

Still want to know who GQ thinks is the #1 least influential person alive.

That's what pisses me off the most. Hell, if I wanted to listen to a fat blowhard douchebag, Rush has got it covered and I can at least derive some small sliver of pleasure from mocking him (as he cries from the sting all the way to the bank, right?). Shultz is about as thorough an example of a "you're not helping" poster boy for the left as I can imagine.

Marrow is peerless. Ed, O'Donnel, and Matthews are at varying degrees painful to watch, much as I agree with their core beliefs.

O'Donnell just doesn't belong on camera. He's a great producer, but comes off as such a prick. Matthews might be tolerable if he took a regimen of downers. We'd a good muckracker, but has no depth whatsoever, at least with the content of his shows.

I'd love to see Thin Hartmann get a show Taking one of their places, and dial down his combativeness to zero and just talk ideas.

That place just misses Tim Russert so damn much. And pre-Katrina Olberman, before he snapped.

I've pretty much only seen him as "yelling buffoon #8" that pops up in clips from time to time on The Daily Show. Where did this idiot come from?
