Yep, when Michigan shiat the bed against Iowa I thought the Huskers had a chance. Then NU goes to the big house and decides to bend over and take it up the exit ramp.

The loss to the Bugeaters was Iowa's own fault. It's no secret, you can rush all over the Blackshirts. The Hawkeyes would run into Husker territory and then decided to try to throw against NU's 2 star defenders, both of whom will be playin on Sunday next season.

To top it off Rex "Diesel" Burkhead has 37 farking carries*.

*officially 38, but was a farking kneel down, not a rushing attempt in my book.

As a Husker fan, I have to ask... do the Hawkeyes have that bad of a kicker? There were a few field goal attempts in the 40s early that I'm not sure why you don't try... even against the wind.

Also, fark Tim Beck for sitting on a 20 point lead. Being classy is one thing, but 20 points is not enough to sit on... the fourth quarter was a bit scary because he decided to just hang it up for the day.

Our kicker isn't that bad. He's not great, either.

But the two 4th downs you're talking about took place between the 35 and the 40. Those kicks would be between 52 and 57 yards. A little too long for college kickers into the wind.

The real question is why we didn't go for it then. But Ferentz apparently has never learned basic statistics or talked to someone who has studied the game of football or played more than 10 minutes of Madden.

Glad I turned it off a few minutes into the fourth quarter because I knew Nebraska had it locked up.
