Life's Too Short is very funny, but since Ricky is so huge in England and he is just a side player on this show, it isn't getting the buzz it should. It's quite good. Warwick's wedding speech last week was hilarious.

As for this, I've seen the Derek character Gervais plays and i don't know how they would make a whole show about it. Kind of lame, but I'll give it a shot.

I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. It bugs me that it isn't getting critical acclaim at this point. Yes, it is similar to the Office and Extras. Anyone who hasn't figured out the sort of things Gervais and Merchant find funny, but instead expects something completely different is a moron. They are the best at what they do (the only people who come close are the writers of Peep Show), and are going to continue to do it, because it makes them, not to mention loads of others, laugh.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you; I have found it unremittingly shait, truth be told. Warwick Davis doing an impression of Ricky Gervais doing David Brent is simply not funny.
