Yes.

We only have one side of the story here and I've seen the crap that renters pull on landlords. Not saying it justifies trying to kill the people, but the law heavily favors the occupier of a house over the owner. First you give them an eviction notice through registered mail. The eviction notice gives them 30 days to vacate. They don't leave and you now have to take them to court before you can move forward. Once you get a court date the judge will give them another 30 days, once that is up you can have the police remove them. Landlords are jaded because they get screwed over at every step in the process. Fun part is when you try to get the court to take the money they owe you out of the renters paycheck to find out they don't make enough money.
