"Inflation for a student came out at 5.4 percent. Inflation for a parent of a young family is 5.3 percent. The baby boomer category came out at 5.5 percent. Pensioner inflation was calculated to be 4.8 percent," Doyle said in his report.

"From this analysis it appears baby boomers are being hit the hardest by inflation," he said.

Based on four people he knows.
Somehow I don't think this guy is a statistician.

That said, inflation hits people on fixed incomes (old folks) and people who are savers vs debtors (also old folks). So he's accidentally correct.

Yeah I'm not so concerned when the Baby Boomers put $15 Trillion on a credit card and sent me the bill. I also love how they complain that young people are stupid but voted for politicians who cut education funding.

This. The Boomers made their bed and we all have to lay in it. Worst. Generation. Ever.

There's a 16.4% chance he is, but a 93.7% chance he's not.

I think the only reason I haven't stuck him on ignore is because of how awesomely bad he is at what he does.

He is to trolling what an Aspberger's sufferer is to stand-up comedy. I can't help but stare.

The Boomer's parents thought they were whiny, entitled, and selfish.

Sadly, their kids and grandkids agree.

I'm not taking sides here (and I know it's UK), but American boomers also faced the BIG inflation of the late 1970s-into-1980s, when you could get nearly-double-digit interest on a very secure CD--but your mortgage was 14-16% or even more, and even an annual raise of 5-10% (which none of us were getting) really didn't even keep pace with inflation.

/remembers early 1980s, when unemployment was as bad as right now (and there weren't so many statistical "readjustments" to make the number even lower)
