Possibly an interesting piece of the sociological puzzle.

Public: What is it you want?
OWS: We've been saying it all along you just haven't been listening!
Public: I apologize, that was wrong of me. I'm listening now, tell me clearly and concisely what it is you would like to see changed.
OWS: I don't know I'm just a baby, I don't know what I want and I shouldn't be expected to I'm still growing.
Public: Then go sit in the corner for all the temper tantrums you've had
OWS: DON'T OPPRESS ME!!!!

Dear Occupy: Spend all the time you like coming up with the meaning of life. Until then I'll judge you based on that loony left wing list of demands that's been making the rounds.

I like how you dismiss an entire angry group whose intents mirror the "mad as hell" Republican talking points from 07/08. Intellectual dishonesty such as yours is worthy of an award.

/maybe a re-education camp is more appropriate.

No family needs hundreds of millions of dollars. Ten million or so, fine. If they want more, they're gonna have to pay for it. Why should the 1%ers invest in workers and create jobs and companies for profit when they can more easily buy into nearly limitless insurance on debt collateral? Spending millions on making a retail widget chain is lots harder and spreads money lots further out of their influence than taking a bet on some company's debt at the same cost. Why make jobs when investing in a financial instrument might help out their neighbor down the lane at the same return?

OWS: shiat is farked up

Other people: No its fine, and unless you tell me specifically how to fix a myriad of problems created over decades before most of you were born I shall label you has having no message or meaning.

The system will change.

If its a "down to the bare metal" change or not remains to be seen.

Why does the media pretend that a given Occupation has no set agenda? I saw cameras at my local Occupation today. We had three people engaged in an esoteric breakdown of Chicago School and Austrian School economics in the main tent, we had some professional cooks working the kitchen... and the news media were interviewing the homeless people who have always hung around the park. There were probably twenty others there who they could have asked about why they were there, and they pick a guy upset because our Occupation group keeps the park tidier than the Parks Department does and we discourage him from public intoxication. Last time, the local media interviewed someone that everyone else there knew was a local undercover police officer.

Rules of engagement used by the media: don't interview the former Army Ranger, don't interview the Marine vet, don't interview the guy working on his thesis in his tent or the several first responders who hang out in support, or the people who volunteer for the committees, or the people who show up at General Assembly to contribute to the consensus. No, the guy muttering angrily to himself for two hours straight is EXACTLY who should be asked what it's all about.
