I used to play soccer and I don't consider myself a hater, but I don't get what's cool about being able to fit all of the scoring from an entire LEAGUE into a 9 minute span.

/no, I didn't watch it

As a United supporter....we're in trouble. We'll probably finish 2nd in the group and face Barca, Real or possibly Bayern. Ugh.

It's the highlights from last night - 8 game in 9 min.

What's that song about the UEFA cup you always use to taunt people playing on Thursday nights? I'd hate to have to break it out for you

Uhhh...no, we're not in danger of not making it to the knock-out stage. I'm quite sure we'll beat, or at least draw with, Basel.

I'm more concerned about who we'll face in the knock-out round. Being a 2nd place team in a group, you go up against the winners of the other groups.

Good luck in Switzerland in December

Meh, doesn't matter where it is, if United lose to FC Basel, they don't deserve to go any further than the group stage. Simple as that.

Just ask Arsenal last season: let up, finished 2nd in their group...met Barca in the KO stages.

Both teams in Arse/Dortmund are playing physical. Bender for Dortmund looks like he's broken his cheek bone.

On a side note, APOEL Nicosia become the first Cypriot team to qualify for the knockout stages. Many people are calling them Cinderella. I'm calling them a dark horse, especially if they get a favorable draw in the knockout stages.

I donno, that looked like a strong Europa League group, not a CL group. But good for them, they were a 4 seed

Robin van Persie is absolutely ridiculous right now. He's scoring in every way imaginable.

I had been wondering if the 5Live announcers were jinxing Chelsea when they mentioned during the substitution that five of Alex's seven previous appearances were clean sheets. Crazy finish...

they lost there defensive composure since Lius started, I think Hiddink will help Boas soon.
Nice going Valencia!

The final matches should be incredible. Hoping trabzonspor can get through. A Turkish fellow I met last summer was from trabzon. It would be great for them. I'd like to see man utd go through second to set up an incredible second round match up.

Olympiacos and Dortmund are both at home and are fighting for 2nd/3rd. Not sure which one is going to be a more crazy home environment.

Man City are facing elimination regardless of their last game and United could finish second after beating only ONE team.

As far as the Prem has come we've still got a fudging long way to go.

Real Madrid sent out a message to all the other teams. This was their B team, and it was thrashing a team that other top teams might be grinding out 1-0 and 2-1 victories against.

Barca were scum as usual. Dive and dive and dive and dive and dive and dive and dive etc but they did get a goal out of it in a game they wouldn't have won without the diving, so I guess there is that.
