I honestly don't see how any of the republican candidates think they can realistically run. Even if I was a republican, which I actually am still registered as, I'd still think all of these people are either too bat shiat crazy or too hypocritical in what they say vs what they do to be a viable candidate for HOA president much less leader of the free world and holder of the launch codes.

I thank God that Michele isn't serious about running for President and that she's just pulling a Sarah Palin.

/I love it when Republicans waste their money buying Bachmann books and contributing to her campaign.

Is this where I express surprise?

Like this Friday-Black Friday-when she'll be at the Mall of America signing books.

oh, FFS.

Maybe it's time that I announce that I am running.

I thought the headline was about Callista Gingrich, which confused the hell out of me.

But I bet you their "campaigns" helped them each sell some books. Much like Ms. Bachmann.

Pffft. That just means she's going to hire illegal immigrants and pay them under the table.

Color me surprised as well. To think that folks might consider a run for the Presidency as an opportunity for free press, whuddathunkit?

Well duh. She just wants handouts due to her sense of entitlement to support a lifestyle beyond her normal means.

At this point, I do not.

Maybe I could come up with something.

Some in the Idiot Brigade thought she might.

Or at least they were willing to cheer her spout crazy. She is a TEA Party cheerleader afterall...

so first Palin does this, now Bachmann...

Maybe it's just a clever plan by the republicans to tarnish the image of a "Female president" so badly one will not be elected in the foreseeable future?

Eh..the nutty fundamentalists loved her because she's one of them.

But then Rick Perry came on the scene and as we all know, a good Christian man is always better and more capable than a good Christian woman. It's in the Bible...

However, Perry blew his chances with his debating skills. Cain's still somewhat popular but has no chance. Gingrich has too many demons in his closet.

Like it or not, it's going to be Mitt the Moderate Mormon...and he'll get trounced by Obama.

Osomatic: But I bet you their "campaigns" helped them each sell some books. Much like Ms. Bachmann.

That was the entire point for most of these candidates. Every campaign stop, speech, town hall, not to mention nationally televised debate, results in cash-money-dolla-dolla-bill-ya'll donation$. Throw in PACs that have no transparency and they're making all sorts of bank. Millions of dollars for a couple months of slogging. Not bad work if you can get it. And these candidates prove the bar is quite low for getting that work.

Margaret Chase Smith was the first woman to be put on the primary ticket for the Republicans. I would pay good money to see Olympia Snowe run, and put some time and effort into her campaign too.

There are good women in the party, and yet, the Idiot Brigade wants to see the craziest and most ineffectual spout on to make themselves feel better, but not actually support candidates who are not just viable, but good for the country. Which, perhaps, helps them sleep at night, but in the end, they're not looking for good women for office, but cheerleaders who will say the right things.

And that makes me sad. Because there are good women in the party...

Palin was the large practice butt plug for the smaller Bachmann and Perry practice butt plug both of which are the larger practice buttplugs for the smaller Gingrich real buttplug Basically they were used to make Gingrich look sane.

Cain was completely unexpected.

Dammmn...

I might think about running for President. I make pretty good pizza, I can put my makeup on with a trowel if needed, and I am an excellent public speaker. How much cash we talking?

This doesn't really seem like evidence to me. She doesn't have plans for contests after Iowa and New Hampshire because she doesn't know how they'll turn out. If she wins Iowa and gets a fundraising boost, you'd better believe she'll have people in Florida and South Carolina, and even in California.

Not that it matters, but the evidence in this case is a general liability application to an insurance carrier. When you fill one of these out and write "none planned," all it means is that nothing is permanent. It was probably filled out 6 months ago.

Its garbage.

Kinda like how Cain's campaign contributions shot up right after his "issues" were publisized then his support tanked.

So wha happens if she some how upsets the others and wins the nomination?

So...a third candidate has come out and admitted they are just on a book tour?

I've said all along I think the GOP is paying some of these farkers just to make the serious candidates look good.

I have a question. You used to be a Republican, what made you no longer want to vote for them?

If she makes it past SC or FL, it doesn't matter, as she can just take over the staff from some other candidate. But she won't be, so it doesn't matter.

Maybe I'm not indicative of those in her district who vote for her, but if my representative said that he was just dicking around and not serious about running for President, I'd want that person gone from office for wasting so much time and not doing their job as my representative.

Her district is the very definitions of the word 'gerrymander'. The failure of her district is not voting for a democrat - its the failure of putting up a more sane republican candidate in the primaries who actually could get stuff done.

/born and lived my first 18 years in what is now her district

Corvus: I have a question. You used to be a Republican, what made you no longer want to vote for them?

Not sure exactly but it was definitely Dubya's reign that sealed it. The republicans weren't always batshiat insane.
