Not very civil of them. Pretty farking funny though. And it is clear that she's a liar. Possibly a biatch too.

And cue the outrage at Fallon and the flood of letters from mouth breathers that have never watched the show asking NBC to take him off the air.

She's a lightweight. The band's effort is wasted on her and her idiot supporters.

This could offend dozens of fallon viewers.

i totally disagree with Bachman on most issues and would not vote for her but i think stuff like this is childish. Why invite someone on your show only to mock them in a way that they won't find out about until they're finished with the appearance?

it just makes Fallon and company look rude and cowardly and doesn't say anything much about Bachman one way or the other, except that she was willing to do a show put on by people who are obviously hostile to her

I've always thought Fallon was an unfunny twat. Lately, my opinion of him has been improving. This will only stand to help him with his viewers.

"You're a Farking Coont," by Anal Coont would also have been a good choice.

Because it's hilarious and you have a giant stick up your ass.

It isn't like they sang the words, just played the tune that goes along with them. With the words, it would have been over the top... just the instrumental is a subtle jab. If you have to do deep research to figure it out (or just use that hum-the-tune app) it isn't particularly vicious.

Clearly, though, they don't like her. Neither do I... a bad candidate for any ticket.

Should have played "The Beard".

Cowardly? Perhaps. It really doesn't bother me though--Bachmann has been a bully to many people, gays, for example, forever. People exposing her and making her look like she doesn't have credibility is doing us all a farking favor.

On the one hand, I agree. On the other hand, it's farking Jimmy Fallon, and expecting him to be anything but a total jackass is a waste of time. It's like complaining that Bruno's Ron Paul scene is degrading the political discourse in the country.

Sure, we decry their lifestyles, call them sinful, lazy, evil wretches, say they don't do work and are leeches off of better people, try to force them to live under our moral rules, and actively fight to prevent their kids from being bullied to the point of suicide because they're different, but THEY CALLED US NAMES SO THEY'RE BAD WAAAAAAH!

There's a really simple way to avoid being referred to as a liar. Don't lie. Unless of course you're agreeing with her claim that the ACLU runs the CIA?

Are you okay with Michelle Obama being booed? Why is this okay but the booing wrong?

Good Job, Fallon.

Now you've made her the victim, all for a cheap laugh.

For what its worth, I thought he was lame until he came and did stand up during undergrad and I thought he was funny as hell.

Wonder if he uses that for Hillary as well.

The difference is that those of us on "the left" don't appreciate Hillary's lies and aren't willing to put up with them just because she pisses off those who oppose us politically. Hillary also isn't an intolerant coont that tries to limit the rights of others. In other words, although we don't like Hillary she also doesn't deserve it. Bachmann does.

Yeah, no.

2011-11-22 04:36:19 PM
The band is the only good thing about Fallon's show.

The intro music was in poor taste, but I thought that Fallon was actually fair and civilized with her. She actually came out of it looking almost human.

No one would have ever even known about the whole thing if Glenn Beck and the like didn't make such a fuss over it. Fallon only has like maybe 3 loyal viewers.

It's almost as though Bachmann specifically requested the song, just to stir up controversy enough so that people would watch the interview.

Discuss.

downpaymentblues: Are you okay with Michelle Obama being booed? Why is this okay but the booing wrong?

Frankly, for me it's because I'm much less sympathetic from overbearing women in politics moralizing about how we should all be Christians and homosexuality and abortion are evil than I am from overbearing women in politics trying to get our kids to eat more vegetables.

Is it unfair? Probably. But I'm farking sick of playing nice with people who clearly and explicitly hate me and my friends for not what we do or say, but what we believe and how we live.

I see you didn't watch the interview either. If he want to joke about her, why didn't he to her face instead of being sneaky?

We can play the "What If?" game all day long, but the fact is--that kind of thing just doesn't happen to left-wing thinkers when they make appearances on MSM talk shows.

"With the words, it would have been over the top... just the instrumental is a subtle jab."

lol if you think playing a song called lyin ass biatch is subtle i don't know what to tell you

i already said i don't like her so whatever but if you think someone is a pig the way you demonstrate that isn't to get down on the ground and roll around in pig shiat next to them. i just don't see how this helps fallon get guests in the future and i don't see how it hurts bachman either, since no one gives a crap about fallon to start with. just seems like if he really had such a problem with her that the interview would be the place to challenge her, not the intro music

but maybe actually saying to her face "how can you support ____" would have been too subtle

2011-11-22 04:37:59 PM
Stay classy, Jimmy Fallon's band.

ManRay: If someone had done that to Hillary would the left would be upset?

I'm Lefty McLefterson and if Hillary told a lie and was then called a liar, no, I would not be upset. Because she lied. Remember when she was caught lying about the "sniper fire" and people called her a liar? I fully supported that. Because she lied.

When you lie, people are perfectly justified in calling you a liar. If you don't want to be called a liar, don't lie.

downpaymentblues: I see you didn't watch the interview either. If he want to joke about her, why didn't he to her face instead of being sneaky?

Because it's much more fun to make fun of an idiot in a way they can't possibly comprehend.

/granted, I'm not much of a music person, I wouldn't have known the song if I heard it
//but then again, I've never lied on national TV, like she has.
