The great thing about a 49 year old marrying a 16 year old is that when you're 70 years old you're banging a woman in her 30's.

Why would you say that as a lawyer?

I mean, doesn't that translate to "my client probably did something inappropriate that could be classified as kiddie diddling, but he's totally not guilty."

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

"If you believe that Jerry Sandusky was a pedophile, then you had to believe there was a substantial risk," Amendola told ABC News. "That while you were continuing a three-year grand jury investigation which could've resulted in an arrest with the first boy coming forward three years ago."

Does this guy have the worst lawyer in the history of the world? I think what his lawyer was trying to say was something like "well, if he wasn't danger to kids for the last three years, then why would he be a danger now?"

But what I read was "this asshole should have been in jail three years ago."

Is Sandusky afraid of going to jail? Has he heard stories about how guys bigger and tougher than him might make him have sexual realtions in the shower? And how some type of "cover-up" might occur to prevent the rapists from being punished?

The horror karma

So nine more victims will be stepping forward soon?

You kind of have to read between the lines. Sandusky's lawyer is doing his damnedest to get justice done, while working with the handicap that he's being employed by the wrong side.

It's awesome to picture Sandusky walking into the shower wearing only a leather jacket and saying, "Aaaaaaaaay." And then hitting the wall so the shower starts up.

/Well, not really awesome but it's a funny mental image to have.

What's sad now is coaches can't shower with their players now without being accused of something.

S.O.P. in rape defense--attack the victim. School districts do this all the time to kids who are raped on campus.

Other way around, too. Like suppose I were 16 and gay and I thought my 54-year-old coach with the early beer gut, thinning hair and liver spots was really hot, I couldn't invite him in for a quickie rinse without people talking. Sheesh.

Ya know - I know of a family that had at least 12 people living in the house and there was still somebody sexually abusing some members of the family. So what if the house was filled with people - were they wall to wall, or might there be some space in the hall closet or the basement shower that nobody was using all the time.

/What a stupid excuse.

AnotherOldFart: Why is he not behind bars NOW? $100,000 unsecured bail is ridiculous.

Bail's a mechanism for someone (who has yet to be convicted) to remain free before trial while ensuring that they won't flee the jurisdiction; it's not supposed to be a punishment in itself.

Since he's now got the "child molester" rep and his face is plastered across the media, it would be hard for him to flee the country, and no one would ever think of letting his/her child near him now. He's much less of a threat to the community (for committing new crimes) than many other people charged with assault, robbery, etc.

When he gets convicted (and I'm almost certain he will be), THEN throw the book at him. The thing is you've got to do all the little things right before the trial, or else we get another Casey Anthony-type verdict where we all know she's guilty but the prosecution blew it.

On an oppressed underdog level, that's admirable. That's some passive aggressive slave days behavior. On the other hand, there has to be a better way. Everybody deserves a fair trial, even Evil (tm).

That was incredibly lame and in fact it makes it worse to think of some boy being raped with all the people around him that wouldn't help.

2011-11-22 09:54:35 PM
My bet is that McCready ends up admitting that Sandusky abused him as a teen before he came to Penn State. Hence, his psychological inability to step in. He tells Paterno "Hey, Coach, I just Sandusky raping a kid, but you know what, at some point in the past Sandusky did that to me too..."

JoPa says "SHHHHHHHHHH. It wasnt what you thought. Dont worry...I will look into it. By the way, want a job?"

The stench emanating from Penn State is unreal. Can anyone imagine what this is doing to clothing revenues alone? Who outside of Pennsylvania would wear a Penn State piece of apparel???
