Looks like the NBA mod just got on.

"Liverpool have won 19 [actually 18] league championships and it meant a lot to read about King Kenny and Steven Gerrard - a hometown kid who now captains the team. And then to be at Anfield and see 40,000 fans screaming at the top of their lungs, the whole game, was an unbelievable experience for me."

Dude, c'mon, I've always thought that you were just too dumb to understand how your actions and what you say would be interpreted...but you really can't be this dumb, can you?

Could be worse, could have been Man U or Man C

Wow he invested in something that might actually make him money. I am shocked.

Either that or he's professional sports's greatest real life troll.

FTA: James, 26, recently became a minority shareholder in Liverpool

Um... excuse me, it's African-American shareholder, please.

Why does he always substitute the word "humble" for the word "proud"?

2011-11-22 04:56:15 PM
He clinched it on Saturday...unless he was just there to troll the Ducks with his negative karma. If that's the case, I might not hate him quite as much now.

Well played.

Fark You Buddy: Could be worse, could have been Man U or Man C

That's what I was thinking. But it's early for him, he can always switch teams in a couple of days, with a big announcement on ESPN.

It gets better. Here's LeBron FTFA: "That came from the simple fact of how passionate and loyal those fans are. "

Asshole, you left Cleveland, one of the great fan bases in all of sport, for Miami. Miami, where they have to give the fans instructions on how to cheer.

Thread full of Lebron haters. OK, fair enough.

Thread full of Liverpool haters. Get bent!

Seems to me Gerrard was born in Whistan which is part of Merseyside and pretty much humps the leg of Liverpool the town. So I would think Gerrard qualifies as a local.

Not a huge soccer/football/non-hand-egg follower, so if it's obvious, I apologize; but what did he say that was so ridiculous? It's not so crazy to like something you partially own.

I believe the concept of a fan base nowadays involves winning championships more recently than the fifties.

So if your team hasn't won in a while, it doesn't have fans?

I mean, I see that you were attempting to be witty by pointing out that no Cleveland teams have won in quite some time, I get that. But using that as a basis you failed to come up with anything even remotely amusing or that makes the slightest bit of sense. Your comment is the definition of fail, please try harder next time.

If anything, the fact that Cleveland hasn't won anything since Jim Brown PROVES that they are best fans for sticking it out this long.

That said, i read the actual LeBron interview, not included in the article, and for once, i can't criticize how he conducted himself. He took the high road, at all times, was apologetic... It seems he is finally starting to get it, or at least has a good PR person in his ear.
