Well, when most of Hollywood are effeminate poofters (see: Twilight movies), the few guys who actually come off as a male of the species are gonna get the roles.

He has become the Michael Cain of comic book movies.

This is funny 'cause Chris Evans' identical twin brother is one of the poofters.

After seeing the shiat job he did playing Johnny Storm, I was a little worried when he was cast as Captain America (my second-favorite character after Thor), but I thought he did a very good job in the role

... "funny" headline and all, but he's not playing Iceman, Michael Shannon is.

Well that frat guy played both Deadpool and the Green Lantern but they're both dead in the water so he's still available for another one.

Michael Shannon is an amazing amazing actor. The more work he gets the better.

"The Iceman" was remarkably creepy. I saw one of the HBO features where it was a psychiatrist interviewing him for about an hour. Dude was almost a total sociopath. Talked about torching cats in a furnace as kid and feeling nothing, murdering teenagers who cut him off in a car, and feeding a guy alive to rats (which is the only extreme he claimed to really regret).

At the same time, he seemed clinically fascinated by the knowledge that he was clearly different from everyone else and wanted to know why.

So he played a man who was trapped in ice, and now he's playing in a movie about a man called "the Iceman".

"how many superheroes can one guy be?"

As many as he wants as long as he's shirtless through part of the movie.

2011-11-22 05:54:36 PM
he can be exactly 8.72, no more, no less

and he did both after a role where he was literally on fire.

i concur with the overall opinion tho, that he was surprisingly good as steve rogers. maybe he wised up after the shiatstorm regarding his portrayal of johnny storm.

If, by identical twin, you mean his brother that's two years younger than him, then you would be correct.

Not at all. I loved that movie and actually thought his acting in that was the best of his career. I also liked his portrayal of Johnny Storm. It was a bright spot in both of those horrible films

Still can't believe their mom isn't in the guiness book of world records for longest labors. That's bs in my opinion.

Chris will go wherever there is an excuse to have some shirtless fanservice. I don't really think his part as johnny storm can be used against him. Those movies were screwed from the start.

I totally dug Sunshine. Though for some reason I thought that was Freddie Prinze Jr the first time I saw it.

I still want to see a Chris Evans cameo in the Deadpool movie and fourth wall breaking. "You're Johnny Storm!" No, I'm Steve Rodgers. CAPTAIN AMERICA. "no, no, I've seen you before with that stretchy guy!"

That would be brilliant, especially if Deadpool does run into Johnny Storm later on in the movie and does a 'dammit, not this again!' bit.

/Evans was good as Johnny Storm
//not his fault that the character is a playboy frat flunkie
/but yeah, his role in Sunshine? Amazing
