thomps: you fool, you're falling right into jordan's trap. haven't you seen space jam?!?

And Artest doesn't even have the 3-point dunk to fall back on if he gets in trouble.

That would be the most compelling basketball in a long time. I'd pay to watch that.

Once again raising my conspiracy theory that David Stern is making MJ23 walk point on the strike due to Stern subtly intimating, "gee Mike, it'd be bad for your business if certain information from those halcyon days in 1991-1993, regarding your off court activities, ever came to light. You know how the internet, which didn't exist then, is now in the Deadspin era. Rumors, innuendos, "sources close to the situation confirmed", and so on? Now be a good boy, and go be my bulldog. If you don't....things could get.....very.......how shall I put it......interesting, for you. Bubbeleh, make me proud."

Ron Artest couldn't beat Michael Jordan with both hands, no cheeseburger, and the kid from Like Mike was playing for Michael Jordan.

We already concluded in a previous thread that the "special effects" in Space Jam was actually Mario Chalmers' natural basketball ability.

Meanwhile, the MLB agreement happens without incident. In the sport with the strongest players' union.

It's amazing what already experiencing a major extended work stoppage can do. Well that and the situations appear much different. The MLB didn't seem nearly as contentious. I didn't even know it was up

/I want my NBA back
//Old Finals games on youtube are tiding me over for now

I remember the times when it was just around the corner and the media was all over that. Now? It's all about the new playoff team and looking forward to the winter meetings and spring training next year.

All you need to do to get passed Jordan these days is to drop a stack of dollar bills on the floor, then drive straight to the hole while he isn't looking.
