Scrambling?

According to the folks I talked to, there were jobs everywhere and if you were out of work, you were a lazy and worthless Occupier.

Does this guy even know how amusing he is?

Or is that the point? Hard to tell.

I always wonder how jerks like him get all the easy jobs.

Is she hot? I could think of a couple of ways for her to pay her rent.

December 26th: "Unemployment down! Is the recession over?!"
January 5th: "Unemployment inexplicably skyrockets! Are we headed for another recession?!"

Amusing? He's laughing all the way to the bank. Until he discovers direct deposit, and then we'll get a stunning article describing how you don't need to go to the bank anymore.

Yes she is very hot. But she dosent do a lot in bed. Some of her ex BFs have been disappointed with her. But I think she might have to do an around the world to pay off her debt now. And that is including bringing over her whorish friends.

I've come to accept that there a great many people for whom
Romero isn't reporting the obvious, but is instead seen as a sage.

This makes me want to harm myself, but sadly this guy is providing a service.

/and has proven he has a good sense of humor about himself.

Romero is the man! I like to see the meme stay alive as a sign of respect.

Reality is, it's way too late to be looking for a seasonal job. Most places that hire for seasonal are retail, and I'm not training someone to run a register, or how to process shipments, three days prior to Black Friday. Retailers, for the better part, start interviewing in September, hiring and training in October, and if you didn't apply/get interviewed by then, you're SOL.

There are plenty of jobs, but they are in places where most people do not want to live, like South Dakota and North Dakota.

This. The time to be looking for seasonal work is when all the college kids go back to school.

True.

Although there are always the couple of last desperate spots left by the couple of workers from Oct who turned out to be "unemployable" for one reason or another. If you know what you're doing (you've done retail before) there's still a chance to slip in and get some decent hours if you distinguish yourself somehow...you know, in a *good* way.

When I was doing that sort of thing, I applied in late October and got hired for seasonal work around mid-November. I do remember a few very, very last-minute people who were taken on when it turned out there just weren't enough people but if you want seasonal work, trying to grab one of those spots at the eleventh hour is not a great strategy.

/that being said, I have seen a lot of "Now Hiring" signs in the mall this week.

Hotbeds of retail, they are.
