Close, actually he was The Frog's (Tony's love interest's dad, an international arms dealer) body guard and ultimately a nefarious spook (CIA).

It would suck to be a recognizable 'bad guy' and be on trial for something. You are pretty much farked simply by people's natural trusting of their gut. They've seen you be bad so many times, it'll be a tough mold to break.
