He needs to be more subtle, like Americans. I suggest a network and a satellite next time.

This is just the kind of thing Congress needs.

Surprise legislative session
295-seat parliament
Passed 151-to-7

I'd be pissed too. Sounds undemocratic as fark.

How does free trade with America work anyways, when all America's shiat is made in China?

151 votes out of 295 is still a majority. Sounds like a democracy to me.

\Perhaps not a republic...

I would just like to point out this was a trade deal Obama was bashed by Republicans about, because it hurt US workers. It pissed off SK legislators this much.

I'm thinking we got a pretty good deal.

Isn't South Korea supposed to be Best Korea?

South Korea's parliament is always entertaining. When one side barricaded a door a few years ago, and the other side literally destroyed the door, that was some grade-A legislating.

Weird things happen with democracies in their first century. It takes a bit for everyone to get used to it.

Pfft, once you've had kimchi, tear gas is like smelling a bunch of freshly picked roses.

At least their congresscritters are doing SOMETHING. I heard the comment recently: "There are diseases with higher approval ratings than the current US Congress."

category_five: How does free trade with America work anyways, when all America's shiat is made in China?

At this point, most consumer level shiat is made in China. Most industrial equipment used to make the consumer level stuff is made in the USA.

So conservatives in S. Korea made the deal with America, and here in America conservatives were against it.

My guess would be that the American conservatives are the stupid ones.

Shazam999: Pfft, once you've had kimchi, tear gas is like smelling a bunch of freshly picked roses.

Nah, hongehoe is far worse than kimchi :D (Seriously, about the only thing that compares to hongehoe is surströmming or durians--you know, foods literally prohibited from public transport in countries where they're actually eaten.)

/honestly doesn't think kimchi stinks, but as I noted in the other Korea Thread Of The Day, I'm one of those freaks who likes kimchi and somehow ended up with Korean taste buds despite not actually living in Korea :D
//can we make this a Worst Korea Trifecta? :D
