Jake Plummer was one of those guys who I wish would have shown up 10 years earlier. He was old school, and the NFL should have just left him alone to do his own thing. He was a great QB, but the NFL'$ "modern" mind$et of "You have to be bigger, we want big QB'$ here!" simply does not work for everyone, and bulking up just made Jake less agile and less accurate. He was never comfortable with it, and he made no secret about it. The NFL does not like people who speak their minds when their minds are contrary to, or critical of, the NFL, so Jake kind of got blackballed a bit. Shanahan was just elected to be the face of that blackballing by virtue of him being the coach.

Jake was happy to leave the NFL, because he didn't like the NFL's bullshiat. I don't blame him one bit. I still have one of his autographed ASU Rose Bowl jerseys, which I will never part with, because that was one of the greatest QB performances in college history, IMO.

I just wish Tebow would stop pretending to be a Christian.

Good for Tebow for winning games and playing to his strengths when nobody thought he would ever get any wins. But the constant references to Jesus are annoying, because it is annoyingly polarizing among NFL fans, which is more than the acts themselves.
