Interesting articles about how Obamacare is hurting Christians religious rights and how Michelle Obama has an obsession with "childhood obesity". I guess that is in quotes because it is a fictitious problem. Interesting article. Didn't know Michelle was also Hitler.

My medical device company did just lay off 250 workers. Not ready to call this:

a) a win for people who use one statistic of a whole as proof of their argument since this would be just another data point of one statistic
b) a big deal, since 30 million people are now covered.
c) as any reason to stop supporting the ACA
d) oh yeah, um, ACA doesn't go full bore until 2014, will judge around 2015 if it isn't repealled first.

I might consider clicking that link and reading the argument if not for the fact that this sounds exactly like the rest of the relentless drone of knee-jerk stupidity that has emanated ceaselessly from the right since January 2009.

...yeah, with the net margins med device companies have on their devices and the % of revenue which comes from service and support of the device and not the device itself... a 2.3% excise tax is negligible.

Companies that make medical devices can't be allowed to suffer simply to pay the bill for the Obamacare disaster. Medical devices like crutches, glass eyes, balm and artificial limbs are essential for our troops coming home from foreign misadventures. If the medical device companies are forced to go out of business or outsource their manufacturing, we're going to be paying a premium to get our boys back into fighting shape.
