Let's be honest, we're only going to watch tonight as an excuse to drink beer and to see how our fantasy matchups end up. This game is going to be a slaughter. I hope the "Fark it, I'm going to run up the score" Bill Belichick shows up for lulz. I think the Patriots could score 50 tonight if they try.

My biggest fear is the Chiefs will play an embarrassing game tonight and then beat the Steelers next week.

line is Pats by 17, 17.5 on some places....

wihtout having fully checked each week's lines, it seems like the really high ones -- and 17 could be the highest all season -- rarely cover. seattle was something like a 10.5 or 11 'dog v NYG earlier this year, and all Seattle did was win outright. Arizona was either a 10.5 or 11 'dog @ PHI last week, and won outright.

Yesterday, TB was a 14pt 'dog to GB, and they covered. As I said they would.

So. because I think Pats are in part not all that great, but also because KC is pretty odd duck in terms of how they play, but mainly because of my impression of this season's trend, I say KC to cover.

/caveat: I went I think 6-6-1 this week.

I've seen you post this before and my question is who the hell do you think gets pissed off by a championship ring for 40+ years ago? I can maybe see Chargers fans, and Bills fans, but that's about it.

They are seriously back! I missed the chance to see them when they were first around but they have re-formed and are touring. I'm seeing them tonight in Vancouver after this travesty of a football game. Does MNF not realize which teams are which when they book some of these?

Yup, biggest spread this year

TB/GB was 14 week 10
ARI/PHI was 13.5 last week
NO/STL was 13.5 week 8
STL/DAL and IND/NO were 14 week 7
STL/GB was 14 week 6
KC/SD was 14 week 3
SEA/PIT was 13.5 week 2

Bolded teams covered.
So the big dogs are 4-4 ATS and St. Louis over New Orleans and Arizona over Philly won straight up. At least that's what I came up with.

And don't forget ESPN's amazing mental acrobatics that will keep the Patriots as BEST IN THE WORLD in their power rankings.

I do remember back that far when Hank Stram was their coach.

And I hear ya about ESPN. Maybe if that certain team from up north (don't want to say the name and jinx them) goes to a perfect season, then they will shut up about the pats. I will admit they are a good team, I just don't get why they get fellated so much by so many commentators. I think that is what makes me hate them so much. Well, that and their douchebag fans.

There is no reason to be. Good org., nice fans. Some cool history. A few ooops, but hell, I could write a 55,000 page novel for Cowboys oooops. I like KC because of their legacy beginnings....really just an extension of Texas, and anyone who biatch slaps the Viqueens is ok by me.

GimpyNip: Vikings fans. Cards fans. Texans fans! Jags fan. Panthers fan.

I always wondered why you posted them too, usually it's the Jets' ring and I'm a Cards fan. Not pissed off. There are other things that piss me off. For instance there's fat ass Reggie Wells who knocked Larry Fitzgerald into Anrel Rolle on the sidelines when he nearly caught up with James Harrison on his 99 yd interception in the Super Bowl a few years ago. It also doesn't help that Rolle was basically standing on the field at the time.

But I don't mind the rings.

PCs are great until your patched up rig falls so far behind if you mobo goes down. Happened last year it was hell not having one for 2 weeks while I sorted out what I wanted. Glad the PS3 has a browser or I would have shot someone.

I'm wearing my Pats Mike Vrabel jersey tonight for the occasion. I picked it up along with a Cassel one for 20 bucks each marked down from 80 the year they were traded. What a freaking deal,, 80 bucks for $160.00 worth of gear.

/I could give a crap if their obsolete.
/woulda payed 40 for the Vrabel one alone.

I rooted for the Giants in the SB just because, like most people, I love an underdog when it doesn't affect my team. That game was so much farking fun to watch. Was jumping up and down in excitement even though I could give two shiats about Big Blue.

Sometimes you just want to see a good game, and maybe shut Pats fans up for the summer (shiat was getting kinda tiresome)

/not a Pats hater - was just starting to get annoyed by all the media crap the same way I was annoyed at ESPN not stopping the Cowboys coverage to give me some real information
