FTFA: The mother of Victim 1 has told ABC news that the students at her son's high school blame Victim 1 for the firing of Joe PEDernO.

You're talking about them like they have a choice.
they don't.
they are too ignorant to know what class is.

If the world got an enema, State College, PA is where they'd insert the tube.

The scandal didn't make me think any less of Penn State as an institution. The reaction of the students and fans did though.

To my knowledge they never released the kids name, so how did they know who to bully?

Does he sign his papers 'victim 1'?

This is why you think long and hard about naming your child. Lemonjello is a bad name. So is Victim 1. Sure, his friends call him Vic, but you just know he gets the full name treatment from the football recruiters.

In the Grand Jury papers it has sort of specific info that'd be easy to find out who the person was.

Fake examples:

-Victim 7689 appeared in training video entitled Grabbn' Balls.

-Victim 9000765 was photographed with Mr. Rapey in the December 46, 1913 issue of Sports Illustrated

-Victim 93 attended 1946's Super Exciting Big Time Bowl Game with Mr. Rapey

If I was Paterno I'd be pissed off too. Rape is not a crime for university football programs, it's a perk. People are treating him like he was letting his players burn the university mascot or stomp on babies or study or something. It's just not right.

Pater is Latin for father.

As in priest.

"Coach Paterno strongly condemns harassment or bullying of any kinds, and he asks anyone who truly cares about Penn State to conduct themselves honorably and with respect for others. Coach Paterno also requests his oatmeal to sit out for a few minutes to cool down, and not to ask for statements from him during his second scheduled nap break of the day"

/basically how I read that statement.

Kids will make fun of each other for any reason. In middle school, some 6th grader was bullied because an 8th grader dry humped his leg on the late bus. Pre-teens and teenagers are farking vicious.

I know kids can be vicious but I don't ever recall blaming a victim of child molestation. I think we all can agree that this goes beyond kids being kids.

Not just the one kid, each of the victims had things like that listed in the documents. I wouldn't be surprised if any or all of them ended up moving out of state to avoid the backlash.

This is what happens when you let the football program get too powerful in a small college town. If it falls from grace, the whole city goes down with it. Stillwater, Gainesville, Clemson, College Station, the rest of you, learn from the example being made of State College. Either you remember that you are ultimately building your town around a university, with kids and young adults, or this could happen to you.

I wouldn't have, but I knew others who would have... Maybe the kids where I grew up were a bit more vicious than normal.

/Needless to say, I do not know what happened to those morons once I got the high school

If the victim is supposed to be kept anonymous due to him being a minor, how exactly do the other students know about him?

...

No one's asking this?

Its been asked and answered above.

Also, its a small town with people who are RABID for Penn State. If you get enough people in a small town looking to out someone, its going to happen.

The grand jusry report is extremely specific w/r/t which kids were with sandusky in very public situations. One was in a linebacker video that has millions of hits on youtube. There was a parody video that was taken down when the author realized that one of them was potentially actually a victim.

I can picture Joe Paterno pleasuring himself while Jerry Sandusky did the dirty.

That explains why the police were NEVER notified. They call it "Happy Valley" for a reason...

Just so you know, if that's what you think of, I think you may need to turn yourself in to CPS.

Just remember everyone Joe Paterno is the REAL victim in all of this. That poor, sweet old man. All he ever wanted to do is instill honor and integrity in the form of his Grand Experiment, uniting big time academics and athletics.

There's only one problem: that word, experiment. We're all observing the results right now. The only sane hypothesis is that BIG TIME COLLEGE FOOTBALL affords winning programs a degree of power that makes any disruption of the machine too costly. Even if it means you have to kinda forget about what you were told about your employee raping a 10 year old boy in the shower.

But hey, at least if your former team wins the B1G your son can put a post-it note with your name written on it on the trophy! The P in PSU does not stand for priorities, as evidence by the immortal words of Joe Paterno when this scandal first hit:

"BEAT NEBRASKA!"

That is almost as retarted as blaming the head coach for the sexual abuse committed by a different coach.

Actually, because he failed to do anything other kids were molested. Those kids' pain is on his head. He should have his ass sued off.

Well, given his past history on this subject, we can't expect Paterno to step up and do the honorable thing now.

"Hey, Joe, while we're all blaming you for everything, let's blame you for this. I know it's going to annoy the hell out of you that we're blaming you for it and we're coming up to you and asking YOU to fix it instead of, you know, kids' parents...but we're going to make YOU look like the asshole no matter what you do."

Even if he did say "leave the kid alone," he'd again be criticized for "not doing enough." Leave the f*cking geezer alone and try being a goddamn parent to your own kids.

Thanks for that link. I just posted it on another website where a certain internet dentist (he has a new nickname there: "Pherp") was accusing ex-governor Rendell (D) of knowing and covering up for Sandusky. Turns out that Tom Corbett (R) may have been guilty of what Rendell was being accused of.

"Hi. I'm Mr. Paterno's Lawyer. This has nothing to do with Mr. Paterno. He has enormous regret and sympathy for the victims and is against bullying of any kind, but if he were to come on here, he would just be feeding the continued media frenzy and would not be in his best interest."

"Outrage!!!!"

"I know, let's talk about how this grand jury report was filed under seal to protect the victims' identities, but yet got released anyway."

"How about that the national media has knowingly libeled and slandered Mr. Paterno by presenting speculation, conjecture, and lies as fact?"

"Outrage!!!!"

"Can I go?"
