They're probably halal turkeys, too. Don't you see what's going on? WAKE UP, SHEEPLE! They'll start off with secretly Muslim turkeys on Thanksgiving, and we'll be totes under Sharia by Christmas Day, which they'll ban of course.

As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly

"It's a helicopter, and it's coming this way. It's flying something behind it, I can't quite make it out, it's a large banner and it says, uh - Happy... Thaaaaanksss... giving! ... From ... W ... K ... R... P!! No parachutes yet. Can't be skydivers... I can't tell just yet what they are, but - Oh my God, Johnny, they're turkeys!! Johnny, can you get this? Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Not since the Hindenburg tragedy has there been anything like this!"

Loved it!!!

The Cathedral of Power International Church in Clermont is giving away free turkeys on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Families who receive a turkey will need to fill out a form that notes their acceptance of the food.

This is the same church that helped sponsor a free gas giveaway in Clermont back in April.

Damned do-gooding religious nuts.

Loved this joke the first time, and I'm thinkin' something must be wrong with me. 'Cause I still find it hilarious.

This is more like a bill to cook the turkey.

You shut your whore mouth and go stand under a turkey.

Why do they need a volunteer per turkey?

If it wasn't for the Flo.ri.da tag, I figured it would have been in Orange, Lake counties, California. Air dropping turkeys into either would just be silly. Like Florida. Huh. Maybe there is a connection.

I dunno, it was so classic that is never really gets old.

You have to expect that this time of year.

I'm just glad I'm not the only one old enough to remember seeing the original episode around here.

Got a link to a decent clip of it? Seems like this one attracts the idiot click-whores who put 10 or 30 seconds up, but who don't actually present the real content. I refuse to give those click-whores more clicks.

That said...what's the motivation? How much do they actually get per misdirected click, a tenth or hundredth of a cent?

If you can stand to watch an ad or three, Hulu has a good-quality version of it:

WKRP Turkeys Away (new window)

They're doing this in Lee and Charlotte counties, too, subby. The turkeys don't plop like wet bags of cement when they land in the marshes. It's more like a THWUCK sound. Then the real fun is watching the needy families go out into the muck to try to pull the turkeys back out without yanking off their heads in the process.
