Stop it, America

Yeah. Stop going to the movies for stupid, mindless entertainment.

That's what NASCAR is for.

2000 years ago crowds flocked to coliseums to see slaves kill each other and men fed to lions. As crappy as these movies are, I still consider them progress.

I'd pay to see Stephenie Meyer fed to lions.

I haven't seen any of the sequels. Does Reese Witherspoon get naked in them, too?

I'm trying to remember- are they finally at the part with where he farks the girl unconscious and she has a vampire baby inside of her trying to kill her?

Because I never really saw any of the Twilight stories but I kinda thought that would be an interesting part to pick up at.

Me too. I only saw the first movie which was laughably bad, but I'm intrigued as to what they will do with that story line.

Yup. This is the movie where, in a PG-13 way he farks her until she's all kinds of bruised and the bed is in pieces, and then later he, in a PG-13 way chews the demon infant out of her womb.

They could have done more with an R-rating...

Yea, I kind of felt the same way with this. Both daughters went to movie - allowed me to get Captain America on Demand so I can finally watch it. Up through the half way point where my oldest daughter left the lights on in the truck and the battery died and I had to go jump start it.

Dammit people, sparkly vampires aren't any weirder than oiled up Greeks or Hobbits. You know it's the truth. Stop caring so much about this.

I think the werewolves have to try to chew her into pieces in this one. Because they love her. Or whatever.

I noticed that too. Another thing I noticed is that Target carries some of the literary classics, albeit very few (mainly To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, The Diary of Helen Keller, and The Catcher in the Rye). Walmart doesn't carry any. Not. One. Title. But they do have nearly an entire aisle of sparkly vampire books.

It's two hours of Robert Pattinson staring at the camera.

You mean a movie that was created for female teenagers does well at the box office? And this is shocking? If only there was some kind of precedent for this... something big... something almost of a Titanic nature...

12-year-old girls have no taste. News flash! Shouldn't we be more concerned with this?

After a second place debut of $25 million, Adam Sandler's PG-rated holiday-themed comedy "Jack and Jill" from Sony will enter its sophomore session with around $30 million already in the stocking. $12 million for Friday through Sunday pushed it to around $41 million by the end of the weekend.

Folks, when you buy tickets to Adam Sandler movies, you're telling Hollywood it's OK to keep making Adam Sandler movies.

Seriously? Then why the hell did they bother splitting it? Just because Harry Potter did? What's left--the debate w/the Vitruli over whether or not to kill the baby?

/Full disclosure: Read the books (most god-awful stuff I've read in a long time)
//Only saw the first movie. What utter dreck.

Ive been wondering why they split it as well. I mean they can have bella hunting, and training to fight but even the fight at the end isnt so much a fight as a group of people staring at each other. So unless there is some change...it really will just be Rob staring at the camera for two hours. I have no objections to that.

I'd say the Twilight series is as tired and unimaginative as subby's headline.

Stop It subby and think of something more clever and original.

2011-11-21 10:50:44 AM
I know very little about this series. I saw two of the films through Rifftrax and I have the common knowledge about the demon baby but IMO, if they have a whole movie left with nothing to do, having "Bella" turn into a real vampire, the kind with fangs that slaughters people (she can still sparkle if she wants), that could redeem the whole thing.

/Bella...Lugosi, get it?

At least after next year, Twilight will be over and we can get to hating the next big thing that tweens like.

2011-11-21 11:08:10 AM
Um...yeah...so?

I mean, seriously...why do you haters give a shiat that this movie made money? YOU didn't contribute to its box office take, did you? Of course not. You did anything but that and ragged on the Twilight Saga, Kristen Stewart and anything else that you knew would get the fans' feathers ruffled. You've established that you hate everything about it and anyone who does like it is two levels south of douchebag status. So, good for you; you're not part of the "problem". Go to your nearest mirror and salute, or whatever it is you need to do to feel better about yourself.

Sorry, but it's just....god...just shut the fark up about it already and move on...bunch of whiners.

AgtSmithReloaded: the Twilight Saga

That reminds me, it's not even a saga. Even the name of the series fails to take into account basic literary terms.
