Hi honey. I'm almost done. Just another level and I'll shut down for the night. Don't try and sell me to the Amish again. They have a terrible bandwidth issue and they say "I work like a lazy Englandder that's been dead fer a year."

Don't they know that the blue Skittles are disgusting, repellent, and evil?

The RED Skittles are the only true Skittles.

I kept reading the article expecting to find out when the police became involved and charged her with some kind of felony. Sad that I've come to expect that of this kind of situation.

F that, I got my own copy. He's played way more hours than I have simply because I've been doing things like digging up the garden for winter and cleaning the house and moving furniture. The trade off is that he doesn't get to complain if I want to play it for six hour stretches...

So when a woman tries to sell another human being on Craigslist, everyone "has a good laugh". When a GUY tries to do it, it's a misdemeanor.

I'm hoping for Skyrim for Christmas. But I've read that there are a few game stopping glitches. Any of you Farkers experienced them?

FTFA: Kyle Bradley, who said he successfully finished the game within a few days, seems amused by his wife's ad and notes that she encouraged his purchase of the game.

The missus bought me my copy on the first day. You can add her to the list of wives who are quickly learning to regret their decision to support their husband's gaming habits.

And this is why you should never marry someone who isn't as into video games as you are. True love helps you grind for titles.

No glitches in my PC version so far. Which is freaky as hell. 21 hours or so in.

Ok, i'll add video-game-hating to my list of reasons to not get married.

PC or console?

Speaking to the former, I have had absolutely no problems so far, although I've heard other people might have. It has all to do with your rig.

One glitch is that using the mouse to select dialog options seems to have a few glitches. i.e. there are three options you can choose, but the one you click on won't necessarily be the one that is chosen. A quick and dirty work-around is to just use the keyboard to select your options.

/Also, accidentally sold a few things I did NOT want to sell because of this mouse glitch
//Game works fine other than this.

He's 22 but considered a war veteran? Isn't that a term usually applied to old guys that spent time in a war? Why is it that any military service has to mentioned and even glorified in some of these articles?

My wife posted me for sale on Craigslist? I didn't even know Tamriel had internet, much less Craigslist. And I never let my wife leave my house in Solitude, she knows better than that.

I do have a serious wondering, though. This guy served in Afghanistan, and he comes back home to play shooters that are basically first person war simulators. You'd think that would be the last kind of game they'd want to play when they come back home.

Reminds me of a civil war re-enactment I visited a couple of years ago, and there was an Iraq vet there who was a part of the event. They had to take him off the field and call and ambulance because he started suffering from a PTSD event.

22-year-old veteran of Afghanistan?

Let him do whatever the fark he wants, especially if it involves using MW to numb his PTSD.

I've caused a few glitches, but nothing game breaking. Mostly the problems occur if you do a quest out of order (get the item, bring it back, then get the quest to retrieve item) or if you finish a quest with a speech check, then go retrieve the item.

One irritating one i have is a .5 bottle of wine i picked up as part of a quest, and can't put down. All the other ones i had before i picked it up are trapped in my inventory. Rumor has it I can sell it to a pawn shop, so i'll try that later

Man if that guy is a star wars fan then Bioware's The Old Republic may cause him to disappear for years on end.

I have logged 52.2 hours, if there are any game breaking bugs I have not seen them. There are a few odd ones (wheres my dog?) and the rare crash but over all its alot more solid than Fallout 3 was at release.

No... where did you get that idea?

You serve in combat, you are a combat veteran. You don't have to wait fifty years after serving.

TFA says he served in Afghanistan. You can define "war" how you like, but he obviously hasn't been just sitting on his ass. Well, until recently.

I'll have to get Skyrim for the Xbox. Sadly, my computer isn't set up for gaming. Hopefully I'll be able to afford a gaming computer next year though. I think the main glitches for the Xbox version are quest related. Unless there's a new one I haven't heard of.

Most of the tours are 12 months or less. If he went in to Basic right out of high school, he could have more than one tour completed already.

Probably has a couple of combat stripes.

The quest glitches ARE annoying... especially if you clear out a dungeon and get a quest item before you're officially given that quest. Depending on the item, you may have problems finishing out the quest.

Haven't got Skyrim but just spent a giant chunk of the weekend playing Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom with my son...I'm pretty sure us in the basement playing games equals quiet time upstairs for her and is usually appreciated.

A friend of mine and I used to play a game where you close your eyes and guess the color with skittles while on LSD. It was surprisingly difficult.

I have often complained of my husband's overwhelming desire to stare at a screen for umpteen hours at a time... the solution we found involves turning our household into a LAN party. Our 2 children are old enough to keep up and we all have computers, so are able to form a fellowship (LOTRO) and party until someone gets hungry. It's a fun kind of bonding -- and anotther trade-off is he has to (gets to) take me dancing next weekend.

Only major issue I have is the game periodically just....closes.
No "Skyrim.exe has stopped working" message, nothing. It just ends. The numerous autosaves help me out, but when walking The 7000 Steps or other long overland jaunts, it can get annoying. Sometimes it happens once every two hours, sometimes every ten minutes.

Is there a list yet of dungeons to avoid? I always ended up messing up the vampire quests in Morrowind because I'd stumble into one of the vampire lairs without noticing.

I'm currently spending most of my time in Steelport, but my wife is handling it fine. She's pretty much guaranteed Skyrim for either her birthday or Christmas, so she can handle the wait. The real trick at that point will be fighting for console access so I can play Assassin's Creed: Revelations. I might have to get a new tv and play Uncharted 3 and the new Ratchet and Clank on the PS3 to bid my time.

I've had at least one freeze per play session on the PS3 - but it's probably because I play for four hours at a time. I hope it gets patched soon.

There is a really great one that I hope they never fix. If a giant hits you and kills you, you fly so high up into the air that it looks like the giant was playing golf and you were the golf ball. Makes me giggle. I'll stop and save and do it all over and over again even. Or stop and save and ride a horse off a cliff.

Also, the game was designed for consoles and ported to the PC, so you aren't going to be missing much. I was going to buy a new gaming rig then figured out I'd be spending a few thousand less if I just bought an Xbox and went with it. Plus, all the time I spend at home playing Skyrim instead of getting trashed at the bar will help me save up for a new PC...

Butt flexes. You rotate flexing between one butt cheek, then the next. It helps a lot.

I'm not sure that there is yet. I know with the whole Radiant Story thing many quests will change locations.
