I think Little Steven should dress like Silvio.

Just don't replace Clarence with Kenny G.

That would be completely awesome. I like the boss, but not enough to see him in a stadium. With Stevie as Silvio, though? I'd have to seriously consider it.

Remember when he was married to that supermodel? They should bring her back, too.

She was in Fletch.

I will miss "The Big Man", but really all I want is for him to visit Australia again. It's been too long Bruce, way too long.

Snuffy? Al? Leo? Little Moe with the Gimpy Leg?

Hank "Hurricane" Carter would be a good replacement for the Big Man. He's the guy who played sax with George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers for so many years. I had to google for him; didn't know his name. But he's a monster sax man.

One of my new favorite things is to listen to 'Little Steven's Undergrouand Garage' on Staurday afternoons, so as long as that's not interupted I'm ok with this,

Alto Reed. That is all.

This seems like a good thread to ask this in. I'm learning guitar, with lessons once a week, but won't see the guy for like 3 weeks due to work and holidays etc.

Anyone recommend good beginner songs? So far I have hey Jude and losing my religion. I want a third to add in and challenge myself a little.

Nirvana's "About a Girl." Gin Blossoms' "As Long as it Matters."

Didn't Bruce Springsteen get arrested for a DUI a few months ago, and say he'd kill the tow truck driver if he towed his Camaro, or something like that?

Anything by Yngwie J. Malmsteen.

Can't. We're getting the band back together.

"Smoke On The Water"

I thought that one was complex. Joke or bad memory?

Also, thanks for the suggestions all! Off to figure out wtf 'tabs' are next I guess. So far I've just been playing chords (like 'Hey Jude' is A E E A D E G A (or not, that was from memory))

The main riff in Smoke on the Water is RIDICULOUSLY easy. Its fantastic as a very first riff to learn.

yeah, the main riff is, but the body of the song is funky.

'Born to be Wild' is a nice easy one.

I loved the Big Man back in the day, but let's be honest here .... it's not hard to replace a guy who sat in a chair for 95% of the show for the last 5 years.

He'll probably just steal somebody from the Asbury Jukes' horn section.

Sadly, no.
And well played, Subby (when I write my autobiography, the title will be taken indirectly from "Rosalita": It Wasn't Funny At the Time).
Mrs. Notorious wouldn't let me name our daughter Rosalita.

/I'll probably buy tickets.

As long as Hazy Davy and Killer Joe are still in the band, Crazy Janey and I will be there.

Bruce was in the Triangle recently. Rumor has it that his daughter was thinking about / is going to Duke. Bruce showed up backstage at the Taylor Swift concert and sang one of his songs to her while playing her guitar. He also was seen walking around Chapel Hill and taking pictures wjth a few of the locals.
