Read the article.

But....

Read the article only if ye be men of valour, for the entrance to this article is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel that no man yet has fought with it and lived!!

Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its web page. So, brave farkers, if you do doubt your courage or your reading comprehension, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth.

10. Gilliam said that because the film came out during the time of the Vietnam War, all the liberals who came to the see it were very anti-violence and couldn't handle it-people didn't laugh until the Black Knight's very last limb was cut off.

That sounds like bullsh*t.

It's well established what a lying, right wing, authoritarian, hack terry gilliam is, so it's no wonder you immediate decided what he said is bullshiat.

Then I shall first consult the Book of Armaments, chapter IV, vs 16-20...

"...Then did he raise on high the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, saying, "Bless this, O Lord, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy."

And the people did rejoice and did feast upon the lambs and toads and tree-sloths and fruit-bats and orangutans and breakfast cereals ... "

I'll skip a bit...

"Now did the Lord say, "First thou pullest the Holy Pin. Then thou must count to three.

Three shall be the number of the counting and the number of the counting shall be three.

Four shalt thou not count, neither shalt thou count two, excepting that thou then proceedeth to three.

Five is right out.

Once the number three, being the number of the counting, be reached, then lobbest thou the Holy Hand Grenade in the direction of thine foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

I'm a huge Terry Gilliam fan and the man can be... selective about the truth. He's great at telling stories like that which represent fundamental truths to him, but which are based on extremely selective experiences.

Often this leads to him being insightful, but sometimes he's just wrong.

No doubt. He's as flawed as the rest of us. And no doubt the "bullshiat" claim is based on nothing.

12. The book scene was done to save money; Gilliam's wife turned the pages (shot in his living room) and Michael Palin's son Tom is the little baby.
