Vegetables isn't a scientific term and many fruiting bodies of plants are considered vegetables. Strawberries are considered fruits, but aren't "true fruits". And many things considered nuts and vegetables are true fruits.

Culinary and biological classifications are different, so tomatoes can be both.

Whats the problem?

Crust = Bread group

Cheese = Milk group

Tomato sauce + Green peppers = Vegetable group

Pepperoni and Sausage = Meat group

Pizza is the perfect food.

Fruits are defined as being derived from the seed-production parts of a plant (the ovaries). 'Vegetables' are not based upon scientific terminology and are understood as being derived from the other non-seed-production parts of a plant such as the roots, stems or leaves. We call peppers and cucumbers vegetables because the common parlance and understanding for fruit is limited to bush and tree type plants.
