Why are people trying to get fatter when I'm trying to get thinner?

Maybe I'm giving my - er - plumpness away, but this sounds delicious.

Cocoa, chocolate cake doughnut, a little instant coffee... Jeez.

It's not just you - I'm an unapologetic fatass, and that sounds disgusting.

If you want rich hot chocolate, buy real high-quality unsweetened cocoa powder, use large amounts of it, and make it with milk that has been heated just short of boiling. Add sugar to taste.

There is a heart doctor that owns a Texas Roadhouse that does very well business-wise in m'town. All that older people always have a chuckle and make me cringe.

Could I get that in a deep fried? And a large Diet Coke. To go.

Thanks!

Wouldn't it just have fine powdery doughnut silt all the way threw it, that you continuously have to stir for it not to settle?

3 fl. oz. whole milk
1 fl. oz heavy whipping cream
1T packed light brown sugar
Heat on medium heat until the mixture begins to bubble around the edge.

Remove the pan from the heat, and add
1.5 oz finely chopped chocolate (choose your chocolate wisely for it really is the star of this treat)
(I used Olive & Sinclair's 67% bar)

Whisk gently until the chocolate is melted and well combined with the liquid. 2.bp.blogspot.com

Bah. Melt some good chocolate in a 50-50 mix of whole milk and half-n-half in a large pot. Add half the usual amount of powdered cocoa mix. Add in a tablespoon of vanilla extract and melt 2 large marshmellows per person. After serving, for the adults add a slug of spearmint schnapps for flavoring and send the kids out of the room so you can get some damned quiet for a change.

Thanks, Ric!

Did I say that the cost sharing was some new development? Should I be happier that I'm paying for dumbfarks' stupid personal choices just because I've been doing it all my life?

Use carefully-staled doughnut, grind into fine crumbs; heat milk in sauce pan, reserving just enough to turn crumbs into a roux-like paste; add doughnut-slurry and whisk LIGHTLY until thickened to preference; add chocolate bits and melt until uniform; add salt, sweeten to taste.

The result will be somewhat reminiscent of a malt in texture, the original would have yeilded something almost, but not quite, entirely like geriatric Gerbers.

I make mine with coconut oil. Same with my coffee, except I also add sugar-free chocolate flavor.

Yes. If you're not happy about it, that means you're increasing your stress level, and I don't think I should have to pay for the consequences of your choice of emotional state.

Don't worry, I solve that problem with alcohol, which I pay for out-of-pocket.

Wonderful recipe but might I suggest a few drops of Madagascar bourbon vanilla? Then again, that may just be me. I think vanilla should be used a bit more liberally than is normally recommended.

You can, but please be sure to use the proper formatting - all lowercase, and bolded: hot cocoa sampler box. :)

I can't believe the original thread is almost eight years old.
