The Evanescence song is the most deserving on that particular author's "bad" list, subby.

I liked the Evanescence song and the scene from Daredevil it accompanied. Am I gay now?

Dammit. This is the first I've heard of it. I have to get a whole new wardrobe and start working out now.

I just noticed these drapes are hideous.

Evanescence is a terrible band. That song is certainly on par with the Nickelback song for Spiderman.

Got their new album, songs 2-10 are the exact same song slightly remixed.

I'm assuming they disqualified all '80s movies because they would have taken over the whole list.

I've noticed that with a lot of their music. Sometimes if you're playing several CD's at once it's hard to tell them apart.

Exactly.. Can we just ban the vast majority of "music" from the 1980's?

A decade of suck!!

Well there's the cost, and then the whole sucking a guy's dick thing. The sucking a dick thing is what's kept me from being gay. Oh yeah, and the anal sex too. That's kind of a deterrent.

Yeah, I'll give you Highlander. Not every soundtrack from the '80s sucked, just most of them.

Oh God yes! If ever a band was formed to push anyone comtemplating suicide over the edge it is Evanescence! They make me want to slit my wrists and I am in reasonably good mental health!

not to make light of suicide but geez

One of my favorite Nickleback stories comes from Howard Stern.

The guest is Simon Cowell and Howard has fans coming in and singing an Simon rates them. Some are OK. Some suck They sneak in Chad Kroeger and Simon doesn't recognize him. Chad does an a cappella version of Hero and Simon advises him it's just a dull song and not very good. And Chad just replies "I sold 4 million copies of that song."

Simon was actually pretty gracious and admitted he makes mistakes.

The thing is, being a good song and being a popular song have very little to do with it. People connected with the song, and ultimately that's all that matters.

Not that I necessarily disagree with the author's choices, he mentions in the article that Celine Dion has a "technically perfect" voice.

THAT is what this guy considers technically perfect? Really? Because the Titanic song if nothing else actually kind of proves that Celine Dion is merely a loud singer, not a particularly good one.

Yup, I agree that most movies in general dont really carry that great of a soundtrack. Atleast the 80s and 90s go... For some reason now, We are getting some good music in movies again.

Bobby Brown's Ghosbusters 2 song was pretty much the best thing about the movie!

I'm convinced Nickleback sits around all day and thinks of ways they can make their musical instruments gayer.

No.
List fail. Not saying they're great, but they're definitely not the worst. Try harder.

Even if we're going from what movies they used, Dashboard Confessional - Vindicated" and The Calling - For You are much, much worse. And they got the music video treatment and everything.

Repo Man soundtrack really has no comparison.

And most John Hughes movies were pretty good. Pretty in Pink was damn good on the soundtrack side. And Ry Cooders work was better in the 80s as well.

Also Blues Brothers, Fast Times, and the Lost Boys.

And Manhunter.

An I farking HATE Nickelback.

theflatline: Also Blues Brothers

But while it came out in 1980, the Blues Brothers soundtrack wasn't 80s music.

The Lost Boys? I do remember the well oiled sax player dude. And the kid having the poster of Rob Lowe in his room. Come to think of it, that movie was really gay. But that can't be, it was directed by the guy who did Batman and Robin.

The movie also had Jamie Gertz who was the go to sexy girl next door in the 80s.
