Bah ha ha ha as a sooner fan I know I should have wanted OSU to win tonight, so we could be the team who knocked them off, but I just cant cheer for them. Bah ha ha ha ha ha !

/still a bad deal about the women's basketball coaches though.

I just had a feeling about this game. It was a classic trap game and Iowa State was overdue for one of their patented giant killings. Once again, the Big XII crab barrel claims another victim.

This'll make their coming defeat in Bedlam a little more bearable, right?

See, it's this sort of attitude that gives Sooners such a piss poor reputation when it comes to sportsmanship. Let OSU mourn for a day before relishing their defeat for no other reason than a really, really ridiculous rivalry.

Oh please, you aggies are the first people to heckle it up when the sooners stumble. Suck it up, buttercup.

/The football game has nothing to do with the loss of two excellent coaches as well as even better human beings on the plane.

So now the top 10 consists of 9 teams with 1 loss, and the #1, undefeated team couldn't score a touchdown against a team that missed 4 field goals and threw 4 interceptions. #4 got owned by the aforementioned team. The #10 team's lone loss was against the defending Rose Bowl champs, who were 13-0 last season. The only other undefeated team is sitting at #11.

Know what would f*ck this up even more? A playoff to determine which teams would be the best against another on any given day. Clearly we need to feed this clusterf*ck to the computers.

Clearly, we need to get rid of automatic qualifiers except for the #1 and #2 teams and then let the bowl games decide who they want. It's only fair.

When LSU finishes 13-0 then if Oregon & Bama win out, put them in the Sugar bowl. Winner stays in town for a rematch vs LSU. or would that be too much like a playoff?

Ok, here's an interesting BCS cluster-fark scenario I just thought of:

If LSU loses to Ole Miss today (lol but if OSU lost to ISU, I guess anything could happen), then that presumably puts Bama #1 and Oregon #2. However, if LSU wins next week, then they would have the tie-breaker with Bama and would still go to the SEC Championship Game. Then would an SECCG win be enough to knock Bama or Oregon out of the National Championship, or would Bama be in the NCG without winning their division much less their conference and the SEC Champion LSU left to the Sugar Bowl?

Or perhaps the voters would just say "Aw hell no" and vote for PAC-12 vs Big VII champs for the NCG?

I don't see LSU losing another game this year. They're a lock for the NC game.

2011-11-19 09:43:43 AM
Clemson has just one loss, is ranked 7th, if a couple of the one loss teams ahead of them pick up a second loss and LSU loses a game before the SEC championship game, Clemson might sneak their way into things. If LSU were to lose a game, then lose the SEC championship, and a couple or few one loss teams have picked up their second loss, Clemson could make it just by having one loss to other teams' two. And oh the hand wringing about an ACC team in the national championship game would be oh so epic.

Ball Sack Obama: I don't see LSU losing another game this year. They're a lock for the NC game.

Yeah, until about 11 hours ago a lot of people thought that about OSU. Iowa State had other ideas. And LSU has to play Arkansas, a far tougher opponent than what OSU was facing last night.

Anyone know the Vegas odds on Georgia Southern beating Alabama?

2011-11-19 09:56:42 AM
As posted in the thread with all the degenerates watching the game last night...

LSU loses to Arkansas, but the final BCS rankings are Alabama, LSU, Arkansas. LSU would still go to the SEC Champ game.
Oregon loses to Oregon State and gets blown out in the PAC-12 Champ game.
Clemson loses to USC, then beats Virginia Tech in the ACC Champ game.
Oklahoma loses to Baylor, then beats OKST in Bedlam
Then, LSU loses to Georgia in the SEC Champ game.

That would let Alabama and Arkansas play in the National Championship game with neither one even winning its conference division.

Clemson also have a very big game with South Carolina. They thump SC and that will defiantly help their cause.

Iowa State has had the makings of this the entire year. I watched them in their loss to Texas (in Austin) and saw a team that moved the ball smoothly against a highly rated UT defense. I saw their defense give UT fits. When they won at Texas Tech, they showed poise along with an aggressive defense and very productive offense.

Yes, this was an upset, and yes, OK State should have won this easily, but ISU definitely had the ability to do this. ISU is a lot tougher opponent than everyone thought.

Oh please, some of the worst fans out there are aggie fans. Most of them are closet aggie fans and the only time you know about it is when they have a few bandwagon seasons, then they jump out of no where and start trash talking, until they Poke Choke, then they go back into hiding. Also, going to a Bedlam game in Stillwater is a very hostile (as in am I going to get jumped) environment. It's not that way Norman.
