Yeah, that'll be the only way to see it.

I'd pretty much walk to Los Angeles to watch them taping it, if that was the only way to see it.

I'm just going to assume the new episodes will be released on DVD after an appropriate amount of time.

It's not that I dislike Arrested Development. I just can't stand Michael Cera, Jason Bateman or David Cross.

I understand where you're coming from on Cera and Cross, but David Cross was hysterical on Arrested Development.

That's the incredible thing. All the main cast of the show are one-note actors, with the possible exceptions of de Rossi and Shawkat. Maybe Hale too - can't remember anything else I've seen him in. But Bateman, Arnett, Tambor, Walter and Cross can only play one character, and Cera is the king of rangeless.

Yet they somehow blended these characters together into one of the best comedies ever produced.

I agree, it insists on itself.

Was at a New Years party years ago, everyone went to sleep at 1am I stayed up drinking their good liquor and watched the sunrise as I do. I also drank a pot of coffee. My ride was busy banging his girl and sleeping it off on New Years day while I sat around and watched AD with the hipsters (yes they were, the guy who owned the place was so proud he had nothing but Apple hardware in his home) between bouts of violent vomiting. It may have colored my experiences.

AD is the only thing I can stand those three in (except for Mr. Show of course). They don't have any range but the thing is, they're perfect for their individual roles.

It is an interesting idea. I actually can't wait until Netflix finally gets it in their heads to produce shows exclusively for their streaming service. Actually make something that would make that unbelievable steep price of $16/month worth paying for.

I think you mean $7.99 ... which is the cost of streaming ... which is all you need to see AD.

The Chuck Norris meme used to be fun for me, but when I found he was shilling derp for WND, it quit being fun real fast. Now I see him as just another reactionary extremist fundie, and that's sad.

Eh, it's ok, but the whole kooky, cynical, angry, selfish and shallow people doing kooky, cynical, angry and selfish things genre has moved on..

I watched it, but I've enjoyed Sunny and Curb more..

For me, it's not about who they cast, it's about whether they fit in. I can't stand David Cross, but he is pitch perfect in AD.

Now, someone like Jessica Walter, for instance, while maybe being one-note (ball-busting older lady that's nobody's Grandma), has some of the best line delivery on Archer (another show with a stellar cast).

Netflix is a complete rip-off. If I wanted to pay $60/month just for a crappy selectin I'd just get cable.

Does that include no commercials and shows that wait for you rather than loading up the DVR service? I pay $8 a month for NetFlix and still haven't run out of things to watch, both movies and shows.

I can't fathom how much more people want for almost nothing. Until NetFlix gets up to $100/month, I'll hold my biatch sessions.

Hating Arrested Development....that's full-scale Derp

Great show....and if it was just going to be aired via Dyvorkin plates or kinetoscope....I would watch it.

Even if ifs 1/1000th as good as the early AD...it is still a lot better than the crap they show on TV. And AD is way better than Curb Your Ejaculation or Its Always Scummy in Arkadelphia (boring). COME ON

2011-11-19 07:52:52 AM
Resurrecting shows is always a dangerous proposition. And Hurwitz hasn't had a lot of success after AD. I have hope, but I'm skeptic.

/$250 a month for Netflix?!
//When did they start charging $300 a month?!

True, but I don't find watching the retarded to be particularly funny, so I have never liked AD as a show.

Cytokine Storm: Netflix is a complete rip-off. If I wanted to pay $60/month just for a crappy selectin I'd just get cable.

When I say that about why I don't have a cellphone people look at me weird. To me, it is like this: Laptop = cellphone deluxe, without the $125/month payment.

farkityfarker: Most people don't care. That's why Arrested Development went away in the first place.

Precisely so. As much as I appreciate the truth of Adolph's original comment inferring that it will be torrented almost immediately, after 2 weeks there will be so few seeders that it will be easier for you to pay Netflix to see it.

Lest we forget about Red Envelope Entertainment, they stopped producing original content because they wanted to play nice with the big boys on the market. You see how well that went.

What's the hate for Netflix? Compared to the cost of cable, Netflix is a bargain. For Comcast digital cable with no Premium Channels I paid $100 a month not including internet. I already have Netflix ($25/month) , so I ditched the cable and bought a Roku so I have an easier way to watch Netflix streaming on tv. It's working out great, I should have ditched cable a long time ago. There's so much streaming stuff to watch on Netflix.

Apparently saying something even mildly critical Arrested Development is the hipster equivalent of standing up in a Baptist church and saying the world isn't 6000 years old...

I wish the show would come back today on TV where it would fail again, and the movie would be released next weekend where it will come in 10th place at the box office for the weekend, before it is released on dvd the following week.
