Ms. Brewer's response - "The Tea Party is Independent"

Jan Brewer reminds me of one of those women who are in a skid row apartment and doing all sorts of drugs that come as payment for her skanky sexual favors.

/Why sure I'd do her, with two condoms on and someone else's dick.

I'm still expecting her to order the arrest of the offending judge/s

Well Jan Brewer can just ignore this case and continue on with the redistricting. A court ruling does not mean you have to abide by it.

One always wonders just how far the power-abusers have to go before their supporters will stop supporting them. She probably won't do it because it would be impolitic, but she would probably get away with it and complete her term without recall if she did. I mean, hell, Scott Walker still has alarming support and he has essentially been recorded stuffing ballot boxes, robbing pension funds, and obediently reporting to corrupt paymasters.

Fark Me To Tears: God... Arizona should be renamed New Florida.

Florida was moving in the right direction recently until they decided to stop floridating one of their county's water supplies because actual quote"I can only conclude that the science is simply not on their side on (the fluoride issue) but sadly they are not prepared to admit this gracefully. Meanwhile, our children run completely unnecessary risks ingesting this very toxic substance with every glass of water they drink,"
Florida is no longer moving in the rightcorrect direction.

This will never happen. The American right-wing is fundamentally reactionary and authoritarian. Abusing power to maintain the status quo, or revert to some mythical Real America™, is something to be applauded, not condemned.

Guess what, Fluoride is poisonous. So is everything. H20, CO2, Caffeine, you name it, it's a poison. The thing is that you would have to ingest so much of the aforementioned chemicals, that it is nearly physically impossible to do so. The Fluoride is in such low doses, you would die from "overhydration" before the fluoride could. And there is a reason that we put it in our water supply.

I am seriously moving out of this country, I want it to be great, I do, but I will not sit here and go down with this ship. It started with a little leak and a whole bunch of people said "cut the hole out and it will solve the problem", when that didn't work, they said, "We didn't cut the hole big enough", all the while throwing the Engineers and Scientists down in third class and locking the gates while the rich board the life rafts which there is only enough for the top 1% of passengers.

You know back 30 or so years ago when I first saw Dr Strangelove I thought it was so silly and over the top it didn't even work as satire particularly. Now it turns out it was a chilling and realistic prediction of the future of the Republican party.

I am continually astounded at the amount of butthurt and rancor involved in drawing farking lines on a farking map. Seriously, redistricting is a job that can be done by a halfway intelligent three year old who can fingerpaint with his own boogers. This is not a job that needs to involve lawyers or the courts.

How about the republicans and the democrats just get together for a nice game of trival pursuit where the winner of any question gets to pick a county for their side?

As with anything, too much of even a good thing is bad for you. Too much fluoride erodes the teeth. From what I had read, if your water has been fluoridated, you should use toothpaste without fluoride. However, if kids are eating so much fluoridated ice cream that it's an issue, they are eating too much ice create and are probably fat. (assuming they ever did get around to adding it to ice create, which seems highly unlikely)

Even BEFORE Brewer's reign, this was going on.

I worked in the same building with the Arizona Independent Redistriciting Commission staff and I can personally tell you that, even back then, they were ASTOUNDED at the shenanagins that were repeatedly being pulled upon them. Yes, both Democrats and Republicans were complicit but, from what I heard, the Republicans were far and away the most frequent offenders and the most blatant about it.

"No way will I ever let you re-draw my district to include more n*****s and spics; they'd tilt the other way" allegedly said a Republican state represenatative in a heated meeting.

/I miss you, Lou. Thanks for always giving that infectious laugh even at my worst jokes.
