Heh, awkward.

Why?

Who can be satisfied with a floppy staff?

Like rats, jumping back onto a ship that previously appeared to be sinking, but that now appears, following prolonged observation, to be merely crippled, listing heavily to one side and continuing its slow, creaking sea voyage toward Irrelevant Isle? Like that?

So they're about as loyal as Gingrich was with his previous wives?

Maybe he enjoys the movie Titanic so much he wants to see the stage version.

Why would I want to Gingrich's staffs' shower shoes? Seriously, WTF?

jcooli09: Why?

Some combination of wanting to back the winning side, and money.

Perry's rise was meteoric, and a lot of people assumed he was going to be the GOP candidate based on that. Then he opened his mouth and showed everyone that he was in fact not the fabled "Generic Republican" that can beat Obama.

Now that Newt is back on top, they've come back to him.

Which is sad for them, because Newt is a full blown sociopath and he has no real chance of winning.

Two typos in an article that short invalidates the conclusions.

I guess this means when Romney gets the nomination, all the Freepers and wingnuts claiming they'll never vote for him will fall in line. The base doesn't really care about any of the issues, they just want to be on the winning team. Although how delusional to people have to be to believe Gingrich has a shot at the presidency?

Neil deGrasse Tyson recently said that if he was to choose to vote for a GOP president he would likely select Newt..

Pay checks, they are a powerful influence. Newt may have some money to issue them now.

Oops, wrong Newt thread. I'll be glad when that horrifying skeleton in his closet comes out, he drops out in disgrace, and we don't have to worry about him iny more.

After leaving the campaign, Schoenfeld for a brief time worked for Americans for Rick Perry, an independent 527 group that supported the Texas Governor's candidacy.

Man, it's gotta suck to be a GOP campaign worker this year.

Neil is always in it for the lulz.

I liked the part where he wanted the media and everybody else to apologize to his wife because they decided to go on vacation in the middle of his campaign.

I read this as serious, although hypothetical, comment

"I typically vote Democrat, but if i had to pick a Republican from the current spate, I'd be Newt Gingrich -- primarily because deep down inside he's an academic sympathizer. He is genuinely curious about the natural world and the role science can play in those paths of discovery. (FYI: I know this first-hand). Also, he is probably least likely to resort to prayer to solve America's problems."

Ah, so the checks cleared.

Not only is he a sociopath, but he's not even one of those really clever ones. He's got a baggage train 10 miles long coming up behind him.

Why the hell would you take people back who left you. Who will leave again at the first sign of trouble or disagreement?

Corvus: Why the hell would you take people back who left you. Who will leave again at the first sign of trouble or disagreement?

Because that's the best you can get?

/or was that a rhetorical question?

I dont trust this guy at all. I think he cares about himself first and the country like 5th. Even though it would be fun to see multiple Obama-Newt debates, Newt as President would be destroyed by the mainstream Left in the media. His baggage has baggage and we would get swamped with all of it, especially if he were to somehow squeak into the Office.
My only wish would be if he picked Paul Ryan as his vice Pres. Ryan vs. Biden in the debates would be like Saints-Colts from last month.

RandomExcess: "....Also, he is probably least likely to resort to prayer to solve America's problems."

Can we petition Webster's to get this added under the definition of "damning with faint praise?"
