You are all better people having seen another Tebowned thread.

So yeah, I'm going to go ahead and call it now. If the Jets can't figure out how to stop a mobile quarterback this season, nobody can. He'll manage to squirm his way to a 9-7 record, and possibly a playoff spot.

Wish I'd have watched it, that's a pretty crazy game. You don't usually dominate first downs and time of possession then lose. Your quarterback isn't usually your leading rusher either.

Is it possible that Tebow actually is the Messiah? There are a lot of signs: Miraculous birth, leader of men, amazing physical accomplishments, inspires hope and greatness in others. I think we really need to ask ourselves if he is the One.

The guy has talent, and I'm sure he will become one of the better NFL quarterbacks over the next couple of years.

If Peppers doesn't bend his knees backwards Dec. 11 that is.

He has the talent to make a decent running back, not a good quarterback.

So what's the over/under on number of days before that vein in John Fox's head goes full aneurysm?

2011-11-18 10:41:58 AM
He creeps and crawls in the midnight hush,
Silent as a low flow toilet flush,
Watch your step, cause sooner or later,
He'll eat you whole, and half your alligator.

"The Jets held the Broncos' rushing attack in check for the first 54:06 by countering with their base 3-4 defense and large substitute packages (32 of Denver's first 44 snaps came against a 3-4). The Broncos averaged 2.4 yards per carry (58 yards on 24 attempts) against the Jets' base defense during their first 11 drives. But the Jets strayed from that formula by putting an extra DB on the field for 11 of the Broncos' final 12 plays."

Hmmm.

Some guys are just winners - Tebow while others are just losers/under achievers - Sanchez.

BEST camera shot of the night?

John Elway's face after Tebow scored the last touchdown

You could almost see the defeat in his eyes...

A tale we shall see
of Sir Timothy
a poor executor of his art
a true quandary

His valiance is shown
on the field it's known
that this dear pious man
sits at Gods own throne

Shall come a day
when the naysayers shall say
"Oh, foresooth my bad words, he is great"
never mind that he is gay

A parade we shall see
for Sir Timothy
As he brings all of football
to his bended knee

They did stop him. The Jets held the Denver offense to 10 points. (7 if you don't count the field goal set up by a 14 yard Jet's punt) You really can't ask them to do much more than that.

I don't know how Tebow manages to keep winning, but he is absolutely not going to survive a second loop around the league. They're pulling out every trick in the book just to get him through the day.

I loved the Elway face on that game winning TD. He was thinking "Fark! This guy was supposed to fail. Now we're stuck with him"

I'm sorry, but 9/20 for 104 yards and 60-something rushing yards is the epitome if substandard quarterback play. Michael Vick could shiat those numbers out in a single quarter with broken ribs. Tebow played poor QB again. I'll admit the final drive was nice overall, but when McNabb and Vick came out with this great running game and average QB play, they called them the (toned down because they're black) future of QBs. Tebow's no different, and it's going to show when they start playing the teams that will absolutely destroy Denver.

His cells have the highest concentration of Tebowchlorians I have seen in a lifeform. It was possible he was conceived by the Tebowchlorians.

smerfnablin: You could almost see the defeat in his eyes...

exactly. He's simultaneously happy to win but crushed that his "Major League" strategy of putting an inferior team out there is backfiring.

I disagree. He's got a great arm and he's smart with the football (extremely few turnovers for a young QB). That is all the talent you need to be a great QB. He needs to improve his mechanics but that takes time and coaching, something Tebow has only really had for one season. Denver will run this option offense for this season but they're going to try to make Tebow a better passing QB in the offseason. There's not much they can do about that right now.

how many turnovers can you expect a quarterback to generate when he's only passing the ball 10 times a game and is only on the field for 3 plays at a time?

And yet somehow his team would still find a way to lose. Vick is a prime example of a guy who is just a natural loser.

I think someone could make a Tebow-based Dragon picture, but we need to get the text right. Here's my best first draft if a shopper wants to improve upon it:

25-yard spiral across the middle, Praise Mary, those are for the Sodamites, I'll tuck it for that TD, praise Jesus

All game long, Bronco's lookin' dead
Tebow's passin' shiattier than a crackhead

but in the two minute warning it's a different world
Tebow's bufont takes on a superman's curl
c'mon c'mon, defense hold tight
don't put my wager in a different plight
