Hey, I remember that. Too bad Hank Azaria and Yeardly Smith never amounted to anything.

I think there was a Star Trek: TNG episode that ripped off that premise. Some mute guy had three interpreters who each represented separate aspects of his personality. And then they were killed and Picard pontificated about something.
