I wonder what it would take for Facebook to ask Microsoft to help them in all of this. They're generally pretty good at the whole destroying criminal hacking enterprises thing, and they own not an insignificant amount of Facebook stock.

/tired of seeing a dude sucking his own schlong on the home page.

So if I'm reading this correctly, in order to be infected, a user had to copy and paste JavaScript code into their address bar? And people actually did?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, actually.

Facebook's intrusive content-manipulation farkery aimed at mining its users for commercial data is certainly no less of a social harm. Fortunately, in five years probably most people won't even bother mentioning Facebook anymore.

But they're not the good guys in this. There aren't any good guys in this.

I think they're making the distinction between the general members of Anon who, although aren't above silly vendettas against toy-stealing white trash or people who accuse them of having done goofed, usually tend to stick to social & political issues. FB spamming is more the style of bored 4Channers who got tired of trolling Fark, Reddit, & Digg while 4Chan was down earlier this week.
