I'll be doing the same thing at her/my age. When dingbats say "get out you old woman, your age makes you...a liability..." then use your age as a benefit!

So here's my idea for the OWS folks.

Dress up for their next big protest in business attire. Suits. You don't have to spend a ton of money on it. Hit the thrifts. Get a neat haircut. Then protest. Let the cops start trying to distinguish between the real suits and the protestors. You know they'll make mistakes and enemies as the wall street guys start getting roughed up. I'd even show up for that one. I'm vry sympathetic, but can'tafford professionally to get arrested. If I can say I was caught up in retarded cops sweeping the suits, I could get away wth it, and I can hardly be characterized as anti capitalist.

They did that in Portland today. Walked into banks as customers wearing suits and business attire, clean-shaven and haircut, then staged sit-ins.

Too bad Occupy Eugene didn't do that. They just blocked the entrances to several banks in the downtown area and some of them ended up being arrested.

A couple of photos (new window) from their protest in downtown Eugene.

I've been told oc spray is worse than their experiences with cs gas because the former lasts so much longer in it's effects.

It looked like the only guys who puked were the ones who kept swallowing as their salivary glands went into overdrive. Looked bad, though. I didn't, at least not much, but the little bit I did felt like someone reaming out my throat with a red-hot wire brush.

OC is oil-based, so you can't rinse it away with water quickly.

My first experience with CS: Had a fellow boot freak out and charge the door. A Drill Instructor knocked him down, then forced a mask on him and cleared it for him, then kept him pinned to the floor until he calmed the fark down. Moments later, my "Heavy" came in, to see what all the feckin' noise was about. Without a mask. Didn't bat an eye. I always wanted to be able to do that.

Eventually managed it, while I was still in the Marines. Once a year up to Pendleton for rifle requal / field work / land nav / gas chamber. Good times. First time I did it, a buddy bet me ten bucks I couldn't do ten Marine Corps pushups without a mask. And I had to count them off.

I got my ten bucks.

It was amazing to see the training NCO just sitting there next to a burning can of this stuff, breathing it like air. Our door had no inside handle and there were claw-marks on it. Directly outside it was a tree you'd run into if you ran out directly, then a log bridge over a ditch you'd have to navigate before getting an eye rinse. The ditch was filled with puke, and it's amazing how many guys fell off into it.

To clean up tear gas (actually an aerosol) use Potassium Metabisulfite, available as a sterilizing agent for brewing.

Water fires it back up too. I recommend moist wipes of the whole torso as well as washing the head in a sink. Otherwise it'll set your balls on fire.

I've never had the pleasure of cs gas.

Other video I've seen had victims getting milk poured on their face and in their eyes, so that's probably what happened to her.

It's interesting that her eyes are open without assistance in that photo, which is nearly impossible to do voluntarily after being hit in the face with OC spray. Either that is a hour or two after the got sprayed, or she didn't get hit in the face.

2011-11-18 12:49:02 AM
She never would've been sprayed, but the cop didn't like when she told him to get the fark off her lawn.

I can do it myself now. Took quite a few tries to do it. Last time I was in the chamber with the National Guard, I made damned sure I was in line right behind a guy pretty fresh from boot. When the other class left and ours went in, but didn't start for a minute, I elbowed him in the ribs to get his attention. Then, I pulled one side of my mask away, then took the mask off completely. I said, "It's alright. They didn't start yet." So the boot started to take his mask off.

I've ever seen so many people in gask masks laugh so damned hard in my life.

Sorry to make light of this thread, but I once had a raging case of ball-fire when I tried to piss after drunkenly eating some food with habanero and oil (i.e. it stuck to my skin) with my hands. I ran around the house with no pants and it wasn't until pouring about half a gallon of milk on it that the pain stopped. Water just made it worse. The milk was everywhere, but of course at that point you really don't care.

Try to imagine a screaming drunk guy pouring a carton of milk on his crotch at 6am. Yeah, good times.

I work in corrections and I am 6'6" tall, so I get volunteered as a test subject in lots of different training classes. I have been sprayed 3 times, 2 of them were on purpose, and one was incidental- it happens sometimes when you have one that wants to fight.
Ive been tasered more times than I can count. I would much rather ride the lightning than get OC'd ever again. Ever. That stuff sucks.
