Seriously ... if they began featuring Coulson, wouldn't that totally ruin it ? The story by that guy on how he got the role, and then how it exploded, is fantastic. Heard it on the Geek Time show a few weeks back on a re-run and it was great. Clark Gregg sounds awesome.

In the mainline Marvel Universe, he got too close to a grenade blast and got shrapnel
in his eye that didn't immediately result in him losing it.

Not quite...In the Secret Warriors maxi series it was revealed that he got actually shot in the eye (with a gun, of all things) while attending a secret meeting that led to the foundation of present-day SHIELD, Hydra and Leviathan (also, the creation of the LMDs based on Leonardo DaVinci's self-replicating Renaissance tech...)

Scarlett is a peach. Like when you eat a peach that is so ripe you can push your thumb through the skin. The juice runs down your chin and drips onto your chest, and the place in between your fingers gets so sticky you have trouble separating them. The next day, even after you wash your hands, you can still smell the sweet juice on your skin and, if no one is watching, you lick your fingers and the memory of that sweet fruit on your tongue floods back. Scarlett is like that.
