When I was a USAF recruiter in Akron, OH in the early 90s, our office was pretty much surrounded on three sides by Glendale Cemetery. One morning, I hit the office early and noticed a stretch limo going into the cemetery gate a block or so up on Exchange St (into an area of the cemetery called, God help me, Babyland). Didn't really think too much of it until a couple minutes later when the limo literally came roaring back down the street. The next day, the papers were carrying the story of the guy in the limo: he resembled Dr Demento, and was wearing a top hat and tie/tails. The limo took him to a grave whose occupant had been there about a year, where the guy got out carrying a bottle of champagne. He drank a toast to the grave then drew a .44 Magnum and emptied it into the grave. He calmly got back in the limo, whose driver bailed at full speed and then notified the authorities. The guy admitted what he'd done, but never gave a reason, and the cemetery and the family of the gentleman in the grave refused to press charges, so the cops could only nail him for illegal discharge of a firearm.
