Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Not that I'm above shooting fish in barrels. Stupid fish, smelling up my barrels.

Oh snap!

As much as I dislike Pelosi, that is one hell of a burn.

The third thing is: Checking my stock options on the inside trades that are beating down my doors in return for favorable votes!

Great, another Californian sneaking across the border to get out of sales tax.

I laughed when I heard this on the radio. Good stuff.

Not a Pelosi fan (or Perry for that matter) but that was a pretty good burn

That was very funny,,,,
I wonder how she kept a straight face when she said it?????
I could imagine her expression when she did!

Good one, Princess Nancy.

EnviroDude: The third thing is: Checking my stock options on the inside trades that are beating down my doors in return for favorable votes!

As worthless as your posts are, this is actually better than anything Perry will come up with on his own.

2011-11-17 05:37:30 PM
Is Perry running for ex-Speaker of the House now?

2011-11-17 05:37:37 PM
Why would you even bother debating someone who might possibly be the nominee for an election? Nothing Perry does makes sense.

2011-11-17 05:38:11 PM
Gov. Perry responded through his personal and campaign twitter accounts saying, "Something @NancyPelosi would like to forget: passing a 2k-page gov takeover of healthcare without reading it. American ppl haven't forgotten."

God, that's pathetic.

Zing. Why would a presidential candidate want to debate someone who is not running?

Pelosi kicked his ass. I almost feel sympathy for that raging idiot Perry.

Almost.

well, I really have to admit this awareness: Rich corrupt politicians are much less corrupt than poor corrupt politicians.

(of course, it should be noted that all elected and 94% of appointed politicians are corrupt -- it's ingrained into the very fabric of our style of government, so some of it just has to be dealt with)

It appears that Perry's brain freeze is going to be right up there with Jerry Ford's "There is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe" for never to be forgotten debate mistakes.

can someone explain to me WHY Pelosi should debate Perry and more importantly, why Perry feels like he needs to challenge Pelosi to a debate? They're not even in the same branches of government

I would think it would be like Howard Dean's demonic victory scream. Don't worry about Perry, he is done for. His money is drying up. (new window)

Why would she waste her time and energy debating that numb-skull?

2011-11-17 05:48:02 PM
Anyone, Democrat or Republican, who isn't running for the GOP nomination merely dimishes themselves by debating any of the GOP candidates.

2011-11-17 05:48:11 PM
Later in this campaign, Perry will refer to his purported plan as "what the Democrats don't want to talk about." And some will nod solemnly and give him points for scaring Democrats.

Any Perry fans have a link to the plan Perry wants to, in some sense or other, debate?

MFK: can someone explain to me WHY Pelosi should debate Perry and more importantly, why Perry feels like he needs to challenge Pelosi to a debate? They're not even in the same branches of government

Well, clearly Perry wants a chance to appear on TV without all those meanies like Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. Also, he'd be able to keep the debate to one or two topics so it's be easier to study. And Nancy Pelosi's pretty much Hitler and Stalin combined to the GOP base, so he won't even have to do much more than say the things his fans would love to say to her... even if she wins based on facts, he'll win in the eyes of the people voting in the Republican primaries. It's a free commercial with no real risk to Perry as long as his brain doesn't take a vacation during the debate (for the third time).

Personally, if I were him, I'd challenge Cain to a foreign policy debate... I think with a mischievous moderator, they could be debating whether or not the US Armed forces could simply walk into Mordor.

It has been nearly a week since 60 minutes exposed her. Why is she still in the House?

/curious as to why democrats are tolerant of corruption when it is their side

Perry's childish lie response further demonstrates that he is unfit to lead. It might go over great with the Fox New's Tea Party members, but, not with Real Americans.

To be fair, Perry can't remember the third branch.

I'm sure you are equally concerned that Spencer Bachus is still in the house and curious as to why Republicans are tolerant of corruption when it is their side, right?

I don't recall anyone being worried about Perry (or Cain, Bachmann, Santorum, Paul...) I only recall people getting a lot of laughs watching him in the debates.

Just to be clear, you're talking about when she and her husband bought the IPO of Visa while a bill that credit card companies hated was being passed in the House, right?
