Well of course we are. Just think of the job growth in the mortuary industry.

Zi company has some brass balls to do such dumbfark violations.

This is going to make for a windfall in my new copper stealing business.

"as they were concluding a joint"

And who knows what kind of air pollution that caused!

2011-11-17 10:32:02 AM
Duh. Just turn all the raw copper in for scrap. Most scrap yards will even strip your copper for free. They'll make a fortune... to pay those fines. :)

IKanHazaBukkit: Zi company has some brass balls to do such dumbfark violations.

Wouldn't those be copper balls? This is why we don't need the EPA and this is why corporations should be allowed to police themselves. For the record, no entity should be allowed to "police" itself.

2011-11-17 10:35:29 AM
Seriously? Another greenlit Cu joke? When can we stop recycling this? It was witty exactly once.

2011-11-17 10:36:12 AM
Why exactly are they being so soft on the companies. If they refuse to comply with regulations send in the SWAT teams arrest all the managers and size every single cent any of them has lying around. I think we need to get a law passed that classes certain toxins as drugs and illegally releasing them as drug-dealing.

FTFA
Henry Darwin, director of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, also says that Asarco does not exceed federal emissions standards

The federal government sets ambient air quality standards; the states are responsible to promulgate emission rates which will meet those standards.

2011-11-17 10:38:56 AM
The unpublicized "finding of violation" issued against the Asarco copper smelter in Hayden, Ariz., claims the company has been continuously emitting illegal amounts of lead, arsenic and eight other dangerous compounds for six years.

The finding also suggests that the state of Arizona, which has primary responsibility for federal Clean Air Act enforcement in the state, has failed to take meaningful action.

But we need less regulation of industries because we can totally trust them to do what's right for the communities their factories are in...

"Nitrogen monoxide" means nitrogen with one oxygen, not one nitrogen as you were trying to say.

You obviously need practice reading fark. The thing that dj1s was doing was called sarcasm. He made it clear that he was being sarcastic with the follow up statement.

I don't know how you get through these threads.

Only if it was the industrial strength 30% that I use at work to clean Tungsten and Silane residue off aluminum chamber walls. The 3% stuff you get is just a good mouthwash.
