Anyone who says they willingly watched "Saved by the Bell" should just hang their head in shame and give up their TV's remote control.

I was tricked into clicking the second page only to find this. Who didn't watch that show?

No. 5: Arnold vs. a pedophile on 'Diff'rent Strokes'

I had repressed memories of that episode. I saw it when I was like 6 and forgot it until they mentioned it on Family Guy. Creepy.

Diff'rent Strokes did a ton of those. Also, let's not forget...

Family Guy came close with Quagmire's sister as a victim of domestic abuse a couple episodes back. That was just weird.

I watched it when I was a kid. My brother and I loved to watch it. Still do try to catch some of the reruns if I can find them here and there. It was the Next Generation that killed Saved by the Bell. The original cast was actually good.

Mugato: Family Guy came close with Quagmire's sister as a victim of domestic abuse a couple episodes back. That was just weird.

It wasn't weird, it was cheap and unfunny (except the Iraq Lobster, I did laugh at that). I've stopped watching them completely now, which is kinda sad because I always made fun of how downhill the show went, but I always watched the DVR of the episodes because they were usually good for a couple laughs. Brian's drug trip was terrible, but I still gave it one more chance, and then the abuse episode came. I don't care to ever watch another Family Guy again.

I was a kid... And I like to watch things now that I enjoyed as a kid cause I get a new look at it. Sometimes its funny in a cheesy way. Sometimes its just down right unwatchable. I get my fun out of watching so many old TV shows before CGI was used all the time. Heck, Power Rangers is fun to watch on the pure cheesy factor...

yves0010: The original cast was actually good.

I do not think that word means what you think it means. Even in the sense of "relative to anything else that was on at the same time", you are really stretching it. Perhaps if you meant it in the sense of "better than the nextgen cast", I would agree (though I never saw a single episode of it, so I couldn't actually say), but that in and of itself does not mean that the original cast was in fact "good".

There is a reason most of that cast went straight on to stripping for the camera after they were done with SBTB.

For a young kid of 5... They were good. And yes, Better then the Next Gen cast any day.

Wasn't there an episode of Family Ties where TIna Yothers character had an eating disorder. I'm really trying to remember way back on this one, but I get the feeling she was the "Meg" of the 80's.

I'm convinced the FOX execs wanted all their Animation Domination shows to do Halloween-themed horror stories, so Seth MacFarlane pulled out a domestic abuse storyline.

if so, nicely played.

/no "Fonzie cries by Richie's hospital bed"?

I remember the one where Will & Carlton are arrested for basically being black on a Friday night. The cops were hassling them and then Uncle Phil comes in and TEARS THAT PLACE APART. He portrayed a pretty damn good father/uncle.

Same here. Family Guy just about lost me when Stewie and Brian were locked in the bank vault. I shrugged it off and gave it another go. Then the domestic abuse show pops up....Wow, um ok. Then the Brian and mushrooms trip. I'm done now. Last laugh i had was the "Iraq Lobster", only laugh of the show. Heard they did some back in time to stop 9-11 show. Not interested.

They are officially off my DVR recordings list.

HKWolf: Heard they did some back in time to stop 9-11 show. Not interested.

I think it's possible that Seth is trying to sink the show. He expressed his thoughts about ending it but that the fans would be pissed or whatever. The 9/11 one was another uncomfortable one, not because it was necessarily offensive but it wasn't particularly well done and in real life, Seth missed one of the ill fated flights on 9/11 so that made it particularly weird.

I haven't seen any of those shows--I mean, I have never even seen the series, except for the Brady Bunch and few episodes of Family Ties, because Michael J. Fox was cute.

I think those shows were on TV during my drunk years.
