I agree with your post. The joke is apparently "the heat were supposed to be the dream team like the eagles". It would be funny if the Eagles lost in the super bowl. Losing to the Cardinals and damn near every other team makes that impossible, so it's just the writer of the article making a douchebag attempt at hating on the Heat.

This. The Heat actually were a good team that fell short of expectations. The Eagles are a miserable failure. And that failure is awesome.
