Nuh-uh. Tequila is better because it is made out of blue agave nectar, which is known to have a lesser impact on your insulin levels. Although that has more to do with your pancreas than your liver, but whatever.

Year from now, historians will look back on this article as the point-of-no-return leading up to the war between the French and the South.

Rum I just have fun with while drinking. Tequila gets me in trouble. Well, would have been trouble if the rest of our friends had walked back then, but they didn't.

As a Wisconsinite, the reduction in the consumption of one likely means a correlated increase in the consumption of the other for me.

So ... yeah, doesn't matter.

/Yes, we're fatter and unhealthier than you. But we get a heck of a lot more satisfaction out of what we eat and we stay warm in the winter with our extra "layer."

Let this little nugget blow your mind: prosciutto di Parma is made from pigs that were fed whey from the making of Parmesan Reggiano.

Rats! I had a heart attack a couple of years ago, and since then I've stopped eating fatty things. I miss cheese the most.
Does this article mean that I needn't have bothered?
Well, frankly I doubt it.

Thank you. That is my favorite 'cheese' (well, cheeses) in the world. (well, for snacking.)

I'm not sure why this would surprise anyone. Butter is the fat from the milk, with the bulk of the protein and liquid poured off, and cheese is the fat and a lot of the protein of the milk, with the bulk of the liquid poured off.
That's why buttermilk and whey aren't the same thing.

As a fellow Sconnie, an underweight one at that, I rely on butter and cheese to provide the calories to keep me shivering all winter long.

Just the headline made me really curious about who funded this -- tfa says "... supported by the Danish Dairy Board and the National Dairy Research Institute."

There are very very large Danish companies that supply cheesemaking ingredients, cultures, flavorings, colorings throughout the world, so I'm not surprised to see science proving that cheese is awesome coming outta Denmark.

Butter and cheese are bad for you. Too much red meat, too. All that stuff will eventually kill you.

Let's face it, the cows are playing a LONG game on us.
