FTFA: Neisworth was later charged with multiple counts of child sexual abuse in Cecil County, Md., in 2005. However, McLaughlin claimed that at the time, Penn State officials said an indictment wasn't enough to investigate one of their faculty members.

'[Neisworth] has an impeccable record. He has never been accused of anything,'

Apart from the guy accusing him of something, of course.

Look at that ugly guy, there's no chance he was in any way molestable as a child.

Preemptive: for those of you who are going to take good care to make sure this thread is about generalizing about PSU or Pennsylvania, just remember, it only takes a few accusations at your favorite school and then ALL the victims are going to be coming out too.

Child abuse / molestation is an endemic problem in society, but if it makes you feel better to think that these incidents are isolated to PA or PSU, I can take great care to snicker at your ignorance all day long.

Pretty sure they're not going to be exempt from FBI obtained subpoenas and warrants.

I think that most people can understand that. What gets me is that there might be a lot of false claims as well. To me, those people are scum. But, the other silver lining is that it might empower other victims in other places to come forward. This is really reminiscent of the Catholic Church scandal to me.

Sadly, this. The only crazy thing would be to assume that there's only one potential sexual predator ever (even temporarily) employed at any given major state university over a 30 year period.

I'm not singling out Penn State. I'm hoping every university in the country goes down for this. Penn State is just where the crack in the dyke holding back this filth started.

Tenured professors, college coaches, and administration have been getting away with criminal behavior for decades because of the "education is so important!" and "how dare you question my research ethics. you must hate science you toothless redneck!" crowd. This is long overdue. It is pretty horrifying that the only thing that finally got the law to say "enough is enough" is anally raping 10 year old boys.

/went to a Canadian university
//where they only rape boys in professional hockey

Agreed. Rather than condemn a school for all the cowardly actions of those at the top, let's assume the worst and make sure monsters aren't lurking elsewhere.

Neisworth has been nationally recognized for his work with autistic children, and even penned the acclaimed book, "The Autism Encyclopedia."

He was just trying to debunk the claims that injections lead to autism.

I went by PSU before. The girls there are way, way hotter than those in UPenn. Why didn't these guys go after those girls? Or maybe the parents of the gals got PSU to hire pedos so that their precious snowflakes don't get hit on by the faculty and staff?
