Did Santa get a divorce? Why is Mrs. Claus marrying some dude who looks like an investment banker?

Won't someone think of the elves?

My friends were at that wedding. Apparently, it was decorated and ready to go when it burnt down. Actually, most of the footage you see on the news was shot by my friend.

Good pick. May you have a happy life.

Oh, man. Is that really the best photo? A good photographer would be able to do the most amazing wedding photos EVER with a backdrop like that.

SlothB77: well, this marriage is doomed. i'd maybe consider trying to help put out the fire. not sure how much i could have done.

No actually, I think quite the opposite. They didn't say much from the groom's side of things here, but he's just married a woman who, when her planned wedding literally went down in flames, didn't freak out and turn into a babbling psycho. She took it in stride, worked around the problems, focused on what was important, and finished her day married and happy.

This is a woman who understands that life isn't a perfect fairy-tale, and that you sometimes need to work around the inevitable problems that will crop up in their life together. Unless the groom is a complete moron, this is a marriage that has real long-lasting potential.

What a raging biatch putting her loved ones in harm's way, getting in the fireman's way, and making the staff continue to work instead of help as they watch their jobs burn to the ground like that just so she can have her "day".

After looking again at the photo that Walker posted, I wonder if I'm the only one who mentally added in the Hindenburg in the background. I'd 'shop it in myself, but I'm at work.

The first night of my honeymoon was spent here in a cabin on the beach. We got there just as Hurricane Gloria hit, and then forgot to open the flue when we started a fire in the fireplace. The resort's staff arrived at the cabin to find us sitting on the porch in our underwear. drinking champagne and laughing hysterically!

"I now pronouce you man and......FIRE!"
Priest -"Speak no or forever hold your piece....."
Guest- "FIRE."
GOD- "Take the hint."

I told my son and his fiance that no wedding goes perfectly. Wow I didn't think it could go that wrong! I just thought she might rip her dress, or the wedding would be late starting. My sister had an earthquake the the night before hers. We warned her!

It really says a lot about the staff of the resort that they were still able to help pull off the wedding. That's the type of thing that customer service is about. Also that's the first wedding that I think I would have liked to have been the photographer.

Seems pretty describable to me... the place was in flames. Sounds like you nailed it.

Anybody else think Deep Purple might've had a hand in it? 'Smoke on the Water' was produced while AC/DC was still wankin' in the boys bathroom before church.

Just curious, do people call you "a farking dickhead" a lot?

I thought I subbed a better headline earlier in the week, but whatever. Liters get lucky every now and then.

When I first read this story, I thought it seemed kind of selfish to go on and on about your wedding, when a business that employs a small community is going up in smoke, but I was wrong. I think it shows a lot of class that this couple went ahead and had their wedding in spite of the fire.

and cfletch13, nice doggies. Makes sense you have Huskies. :*)
