I like the old cartoon bird because it's the antithesis of what the new Marlins logo is ... corporate and soulless. It has it's own innate character and charm that wasn't calculated and derived out of out of focus groups and marketing data algorithm spit out of a computer.

No, the cap on the bird is the O's script hat which the Orioles wear with their alternate jersey.

For long suffering Oriole fans, this at least gives us something to look forward to, unfortunately the clones of Ripken, Palmer and Robinson(s) won't be ready for next season.
