The media is very myopic on this subject.

I just heard about this. That's going to suck at the old commercial office I worked at. They wanted us to just about exclusively fit Avaria because they had a special deal on them, then started removing other contact lens trials to force the issue. They weren't bad lenses... though I guess this recall says otherwise.

My father's new gf works for CooperVision. Last I talked to her about it (before this recall) she said by the time it made the news they had already kicked into high gear on damage control. Wonder what she'll say about this... hope they don't start massive layoffs. B&L had a rough time for a couple years after the eye fungus thing...

I'm sure they'll be some short-term public shaming of the company, but long-term I doubt it will be a stigma.

I work for Cooper's biggest competitor. Our numbers are going to go waaaayyyy up. Doctors are not happy.

You know, I tried post this headline with the funny caplocks and the Fark thingy wouldn't let me so I had to run with this other headline. Me want caplocks. How me do it now?

BroVinny: Is that real?

As far as I know... it's been floating around the internets for a while.

Eye fungus?? yecch. Creeps me out. I'm a new contact lens wearer, and no one at the Dr.'s office mentioned anything about a possibility of "fungus". I know there's always a possibility of infection with contacts, but fungus? yikes!

My brand isn't among the recalled or the fungus-related. I'll keep my fingers crossed
