It's not oppression, it's jealousy. To the last person, everyone who hates Tebow does so out of pure, unfiltered jealousy.

That was my favorite quote. If someone dislikes Tebow, it isn't because he's overhyped or that we don't think he's all that great, it's because he loves Jesus. That's all it CAN be! Persecution is the very foundation of their faith. I'm not surprised, but I am mildly annoyed/amused.

It's not even that people dislike Tebow himself. We dislike the vast, gaping gulf between the media attention he receives and his performance on the field. Take Kurt Warner. Just as religious, just as evangelical. Not hated, because he was a really good player.

The NFL is overwhelmingly Christian. You'd have a hard time finding anyone to cheer for if you disliked players for being religious.

Personally, I kind of enjoy the mild success that Tebow is having right now. It'll just make the pasting he gets at the hands of NYJ, NE, and CHI that much more enjoyable. In a perfect world, he wins against BUF, KC, and SD, just so we get another year of the Broncos circus next year.

"He's 6-4! BEST QB SINCE ELWAY! So what if he's been hit 30 times in 4 starts? HIS KNEES HAVE FAITH!"

Yet how many dumbasses were in Fark threads talking about how they're going to enjoy watching Tebow get shut down by his teammates that don't want to hear the praying (when he was drafted)? That sh*t was hilarious.

There's more media attention on him because people just won't stop talking about him.

It's just like Simmons when he talks about Matt Schaub. That dude's boring down to his name. No one has any opinion about him. But people have opinions out of their ass about Tebow.

And no one praises Tebow more than "he's getting them wins." They constantly criticize on TV and on the internet. THERE IS NO ACTUAL PRAISE except during the game, but announcers praise EVERYONE during games. It's not in their best interest to tell their viewers they're watching an inferior product.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets. Third, I only go deep. Out-routes are for pussies. I take this shiat downTOWN! Decker, just run about 90 yards and catch the damn ball this time or I swear to me that I am turning the Gatorade to blood. READY! BREAK!

I love hearing that the Jets are just gonna waste the Broncos. A really simple thing overlooked by people is that the ball control, drain-the-clock offense the Broncos are using right now rests the defense, and the Broncos defense is getting better. Why wouldn't you when you aren't out there 15-20 times a game after a 3-and-out? Double team Von Miller, here comes Dumervil. Double team Dumervil, here comes Miller. I haven't seen it really, but I'd really like to see them just stack one side of the D with Dumervil, Miller, and Dawkins. You'll block one, you might get a hand on that second one, but you won't stop all three.

The screen pass audible to the other side would go for 6.

Doesn't help that half of those are noted managers/front office people, not athletes.

Mikey1969: And these people are wetting themselves over him?

The people most wetting themselves are the people who said he'll never succeed in the NFL. But teams just keep winning with him as their QB and that makes them has a sad.

16/29, 308 yards 1TD, 1 INT, 10 rush 27 yards 1 TD 1 FUM, 0 FUM LOST

Broncos win 24-23

Indeed that might be ONE outcome. An audible for a handoff to the opposite side might go for 6 too. But there is also a really nice chance that the QB gets friggin crushed. Or 100 other scenarios.

Ehhhh, I don't know. I don't think the Tebows match up very well against the Jest. Tebow's dying ducks vs Revis/Cromartie? NYJ won't have LDT, but the Broncos are running their 3rd stringer. For once, Sanchez will clearly be the best passer in the game.

Home field might make a difference, but I get the feeling it's going to be Detroit redux.

I don't think the plan is to pass against them. Jets' run defense is mediocre (hey, they're pretty much Denver's equals), why not keep running?

She's absolutely right. No other player has his first name on the back of his jersey, so Jesus shouldn't either. Start making #15 jerseys that say "OF NAZARETH" on the back.

Another thing being overlooked is that with the secondary NY has they can put 9 in the box and cover Denver's wideouts one on one with ease. Meaning the "ball control, drain-the-clock offense" is still going to go 3 and out and not rest the defense in this particular matchup. So if half of Tebow's 4-6 completions don't go for touchdowns again the Jets take this one in a laugher.

Now if Denver has been working on an expanded passing game plan and simply did not see the need to use it on KC we could see a different result. I believe this is possible but going with the single-wing again is not going to cut it vs. the Jets.
