The old dictum "Tell them that you know it and learn it before they fire you"

Anavrinman: The old dictum "Tell them that you know it and learn it before they fire you"

Also known as "fake it 'til you make it."

/some of those pics were both eerie and beautiful and sad all at once

That was just so-so, more of the same that I have seen. Yes from a different angle, but still the same.

THEN I came across the second to last pic, the one of all the flattened cars, along with the flattened firetrucks. It's all the flattened fire trucks and ambulances that really make things sink in. Wow.

That's a brilliant yellow pages ad. You know there was some Fed running around in a panic who needed a photographer now and just said, fark it, and opened the yellow pages, skipped over everything until they saw "24 hour rush jobs welcome we do it all".

This confirms my suspicion that anyone with the proper equipment is qualified to be a photographer.

Wow. Cool article.

So by bluffed his way subby means said yes to a customer?

umm. okay. I was kind expecting a story about how this guy stole a plane and radio ATC saying I am captain whoisits of star command but I guess just saying yes is almost as interesting of a story.

kvinesknows: So by bluffed his way subby means said yes to a customer?

Bluffing is the art of making someone assume something that isn't true. It dioesn't have to involve outright lying.

Imagine you've never danced before in your life. If someone asks you if you dance and you say yes, you're bluffing. You can argue that you technically didn't lie, but you're still bluffing. The question they really asked was, "Are you good at dancing?" The question you really answered was, "Are you willing to attempt dancing?"

yeah, but that dont make it headline worthy.

It definitely appears that all one needs to be taken seriously is a really expensive set of gear.

I know someone who sets up "photography tours", and all she does is drive people to random locations to let them shoot away. They don't care what they're taking pictures of, it's hilarious.

I almost hate to bring this up, but have the truthers not discovered the Geek tab?

When I clicked on this, I half expected to see a bunch of comments like, "You can see the industrial-grade thermite in the wreckage," or "Notice how there isn't any debris from an airplane."

You can see the industrial-grade thermite in the wreckage. Notice how there isn't any debris from an airplane.

Happy now?

You're welcome. I'm just shocked that they aren't showing the photographs the man took of the towers for FEMA in the days and weeks prior to 9/11.

No. Mostly the geek tab contains logical discussions and that's no place for any over-emotional politico to be.
