Were they midget cheerleaders?

Because that would be hot.

Cheerleader catfight? If ever there was a time to say TTIUWOP, this is it.

I must not be up to speed on all of the pee-wee football classifications... I thought it was actual midgets playing football. I'd pay good money to see that.

Go ahead, punch my 15y/o 6'4" daughter. See where that gets you. I'd hazard a guess you'd be at next Saturday the next time you opened your good eye.
She doesn't like physical violence, which isn't to say she won't participate, just that she doesn't like it.

The sad thing is, no one was punched. One girl was pushed to the ground. You know, after being pushed, she sort of fell over? Her parents decided to take her to the EMERGENCY ROOM to be checked out. Wimpiest catfight ever, with helicopter parents rushing their innocent snowflake to the hospital after she fell down and probably skinned a knee.

Ok, I just reread the article and saw she was punched before she was pushed over. Still, having her checked out by an ambulance crew and then taking her to the hospital seems a wee bit overprotective.

My high school mascot was a midget, so I'm getting a kick out of this.

/No, really.

My daughter is a cheerleader. I don't get cheerleading at all. I think it is a way to keep the influx of girls busy and not distract the football team. Personally, I could live without one fricking cheer again at any game, it is too distracting from the game. All I've ever heard about from my 11 year old is drama, drama, drama on the team. Watching them practice, especially with coaches that are teens are barely in their 20's and still in that me! Me! GODDAMMITLOOKATME! phase, its like a room full of cats.

And every girl on the Pom Pon team looks like she's training for a strip club. My daughter expressed an interest in Poms and I told her I'd buy her implants and sent her to the Bada Bing for her first job.

WTF are POM's all about anyways?

15 and 6ft4in. She propably falls over all the time, from like, wind and stuff. Most likely she is either a bean pole or she plays softball. neither of which are hot.

/no offense.

Wow! At first I thought you must be shiatting us, but upon further review there is a school mascot as insensitive as the well documented Frisco Fightin' Coons.

The story, as I was told, was that way back in the past (60s, I think?) the school had a basketball team that made it to the state championships (or something similarly impressive). This was unexpected because the team had a lot of short players on it, so commentators called them "the mighty midgets," and I guess they decided to run with it.

That conjured up the mental image of a horde of running midgets... er... umm... I mean... little people.

Sorry, dabbletech.

Probably Pop Warner football, the football equivalent to Little League. I was a midget once upon a time. Those were the days.
